Hardware Fails Fast. Expensive waste of money
Same issue reported here and elsewhere online. Appears to be hardware flaw with their Libra color product freezes and battery stops charging. Hardware fails shortly after warranty period (1 year).Do not buy this item. Even plugged in hard factory reset isn't ineffective. It's a waste of money (3x the price of competitor models..barely lasted a year with minimal use, kept in case, no drops or issues. Bad brand not to stand behind their products. This is a total dud.

Buyer beware
I really wanted to love this device, but I can't recommend it. Despite taking perfect care of it, the hardware failed just after the 12-month warranty expired. For a product at this price point, you expect more than a year of use. When I contacted customer service, they wanted to offer me A. Kobo Clara BW $15.00 off B. Kobo Clara Colour $20.00 off C. Kobo Libra Colour - Black $20.00 off D. Kobo Libra Colour - White $20.00 of Save your money and look for a brand that stands behind their build quality. I only used this device about 4-5 times. It came with a case and it was never dropped. It doesn't want to take a charge so it's frozen. Extremely disappointed.

It Is hard to review something that you don't have because it was STOLEN and Target REFUSES TO REPLACE THE ITEM/REFUND $300 SPENT ON THIS ITEM. Target should have required a signature for this delivery, or had it delivered to FedEx location for pick up. To add insult to injury, Target then has the audacity to request a review of the device that again, they REFUSE TO REPLACE/REFUND BECAUSE IT WAS STOLEN.

Love
I switched after using kindles for well over a decade, most recently the paperwhite signature, and am loving the transition. I appreciate the layout and the ease of navigating the interface vs kindle. The buttons are also such a plus!
