    I've never seen any other oatmeal packet use rolled oats instead of instant, rolled oats aren't gonna cook like quick oats in a microwave, the taste was fine but the texture is awful, maybe if you cooked it on the stove it would be alright but that defeats the point of instant oatmeal packets.

    Bad texture- another reviewer said "oatmeal soup"-- yes, and in a bad way! Even after cooking longer and longer, it never "cooked" the oats. overall just icky in texture and taste. Guess I'll stick to my protein powders.

    Delicious,satisfying. a good source of protein

    I have been eating Kodiak oatmal for breakfat for a couple week now It makes an easy and delicious meal and satisfies my hunger until lunchtime. As a special extra, it also provides the protein I need for maintaining muscle mass I grow older. All this for a VERY resonable cot per serving!

    No nuts in this flavor!

    I buy multiple boxes a week of the chocolate chip because it's the only protein oatmeal my wrestling boys will eat and does not have nut products in it.

    The taste is good, but before preparing, it has an awful smell and it’s just doesn’t cook like other instant oatmeal and protein oatmeal I’ve tried. The oats don’t absorb the milk well and don’t soften as much as they should.

    I wanted to like this so bad but it just isn’t good. After cooking, it’s like a chocolate soup with unsoftened oats. The flavor is fantastic but it’s a textural nightmare. Hope they can tweak it to make it a little more palatable.

    Good Stuff

    I surprisingly liked this oatmeal. The first time I made it, I followed the instructions in the back. I didn't really like it then. Next time, I made it my own way. I added some stuff, more milk, and more time in the microwave. It was absolutely delicious. I'm not a fan of oatmeal, but this one is good.

    Add peanut butter to it!

    It’s good but you have to add more liquid/adjust cooking time to get it to the right consistency. I add a tablespoon of peanut butter to mine and use almond milk. So good!
