Q: I opened the snow cone machine brand new and followed the instructions. When I turned it on it just spins the ice no shaved ice comes out. What do I do in this situation?

A: In the top section it says free of gluten and the bottom section says not gluten-free. They can't both be true as they negate each other.

Design flaw. Do NOT reccomend.
Why does tge top just pull right off the bottom? This doesn’t show it on the box that the two parts do NOT connect together- it just sets on top of the bottom. Why not make it so you have to push a button to release the top from the base? Odd design. Also the Ice does not go straight down into a bowl or cup and makes a mess. Returning.

Just what we needed
This snow cone maker was just what we needed for a toddler birthday party. We used crushed ice from Sonic and had no problems. It makes single serve sized snow cone ice quickly. The only reason I gave a 4 is because we have only used it a couple of times and I'm not sure how long it will last. With that said, if it only last for a few occasions, it is worth it. The large industural one we rented for $40 didn't work at all and we had to scoop out the slushies.

Loved how easy this was to use! Makes the perfect shaved ice. Not a huge fan of the included flavors. They taste a bit like medicine, but we used some Rose simple syrups instead and it was the best. Setback: it spews ice as it shaves, nothing major but unexpected. You have to hold the top to keep the blade engaged. Easy setup, easy clean up.

Fun cold treat!
Our AC went out in the middle of summer, so I picked this up the same day to help beat the heat. I like that it comes with everything including syrups and just uses regular ice cubes from the freezer. Worked fine, isn’t too noisy and makes about enough for two cones at a time if you fill it all the way with ice.

Dont waste your money
It does not shave the ice at all, I tried regular sized ice cubes, it didn't work so then I tried crushed ice- still didn't work. I read on the directions to let the ice get "soft", I tried that as well and it still didn't work. The machine does not spin to shave the ice. I would spend the extra $10, $15 and get a nicer, better quality snow cone machine.

I purchased this Koji snow cone maker set because my daughter will be having a tonsilectomy early July. I wanted to have options for her besides just the typical ice cream that is recommended. This selection was easy becuase the set was on sale AND included two syrup flavors. It arrived quickly and of course we had to put it to the test. I was able to utilize the ice that my refrigerator produces which was a plus. No need to go out and purchase special sized iced. The machine is very easy to use. It does make a small mess but it is easy to clean up tiny pieces of crushed ice. Needless to say both of my kids are excited to now have this snow cone maker at fingertips whenever we want a cold sweet treat.

Super easy to use! My kids love it and so do I! The only thing I would change about it, is I wish it had an on & off button! You just plug it in and it starts spitting out the ice, so be ready! Other than that, worth the money!
