I bought these only because they were cheap, and I really didn't expect much; especially after reading some reviews that mentioned the pickles were mushy. I refrigerated these before trying one, and it was very crisp and had a nice crunch to it. Actually, it was crisper than the Mt. Olive brand that I usually buy. The taste is as good or better than national brands, too.

I love a crisp Claussen pickle and can’t stand soft Vlasic pickles. These have the soft texture of a Vlasic but the taste of a Lay’s Dill Pickle Chip. I guess if you’re trying to eat healthy and avoid carbs this would be the perfect pickle due to the taste. Otherwise, the crispness is not that of a Claussen. Can’t beat the price though if you were having a BBQ with friends. so so item.
