It does not block all light out but it does shield from the sun. It is just a really nice shade to have.

I wanted something pretty and without a lot of designs since I already have a pretty busy window sill. It was easier to install than the mini blinds I have put up. I was glad there was more than one way to install it, because it wouldn't work if I did it from the inside of my window. I did it from the ceiling because my window is right up against the ceiling. I love how it looks and I really love how it goes up slowly, it's fun to watch!

This is not the shade for day sleepers. But this is a really nice shade. It’s easy too put up. I would buy it and use these instead of curtains. It operates as it should. It looks very nice. Thanks For A Great Product!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shade is okay. It's not great, because the bottom is a bit see-through, and it has an odd handle on the back, which we don't like. The shade is also a bit too small for our our windows. The installation was easy. And it looks elegant...except for the handle at the back. I just can't stand it. If you can get past that, or if you need the handle due to some mobility issues, this might be the right shade for you. I'll keep it installed until I find something better.
