Very Impressed

I’ve had these shorts for over a month and am impressed. First, they are very comfortable. Second, the fit is great in my waist, hips, and thighs. I also like the length. Third, I can wear them right out of the dryer without having to use an iron. I liked these so much I bought three additional shorts.

These shorts are all around great. Love the pleats and appreciate availability of 31" waist. That's my normal size and fit is right on. The 9" inseam is just right - not too short, not too long. Highly recommend.

The quality of these shorts is top notch and sizing seems to be right-on. I think they're a short version of the chino pants which I would say are characterized as business/casual. Pocket depth seems to be fine. I'm sure they'll come out of wash looking great. Glad to find pleats.

Nice look and styling. Fit is on the mark. The pockets are sewn in oddly so when you sit down coins and other small items fall out. That is a pain.

Good all around shorts for golf and casual social occasions. Material stays crisp looking and resists stains. The darker colors do tend to fade if they’re wooing the sun a lot.

Perfectly Pleated Shorts for Anglophiles

These perfectly pleated shorts are perfect for a hot desert climate‘s more formal occasions, requiring jacket and bow tie. But in the best of the British traditions, I wish there were a British Khaki version. A pith helmet would be nice as well, for sipping G&Ts and cucumber sandwiches on the veranda.

Pleated shorts are hard to find, but they dress up shorts for old school men who wear them in these hot forever summer days, living in the desert as I do, to church and social gatherings along with shirt and bow tie.

Shorts pockets are not deep enough. When i sit keys and change fall out. as well as whatever else you have in your pockets. They are comfortable and fit well

These shorts are excellent to play golf in. They are roomy and cool. Land's End needs to get more back in stock. I like the pleated shorts
Pockets are to short

Somewhere between this pair and a previous pair of the same shorts, the material for the front pockets have been shortened by one inch. Not a big deal, but the things that I usually keep in the front pockets fall out. I've returned the shorts.

Shorts are good quality. I play a lot of golf in them and pockets are not deep enough. Things tend to fall out of front pockets when you sit.

I have worn these shorts for longer than I can remember, and love them. But the last examples inexplicably have shorter side pockets than ever before--only an inch or so shorter, but annoying and unexpected. C'mon, we went through the terrible design and quality control with Lands' End's second owner--much worse than this--so I hope this is not a harbinger of a repeat! Hope somebody's paying attention.

I’m an inset guy so my preference is pleated shorts. These have excellent construction, fabric is smooth and comfortable, fit was exactly as expected and color was as shown in the website. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Overall liked the product. Would have liked golfing shorts with a 7 inch inseam vice 9 inch. Makes movement much easier, but you can't find men's shorts with 7 inch inseam. They seem to have gone out of production. Also, from ordering to receiving the product took 23 days. Good grief. At least I finally got them..
Very comfortable. Great fut

Frankly I thought Lands End was out of biz like so many traditional retailers thanks god it’s not! My order included Men's Traditional Fit Pleated 9 No Iron Chino Shorts in 4 different colors and I’m glad to comment that I’m very happy with my order. They are very comfortable, strong seams, firm colors and the material they are made of is just what I was looking for. They always fit, last well and are priced reasonably. I will continue for the foreseeable future.

I bought two pair from a promotional link. Quite frankly I thought Lands End was out of biz like so many traditional retailers. Thank the gods it’s not. I love these shorts. The quality is as good as any you can fine at twice or three times the price. I am debating on buying at least two more as I write this. I honestly haven’t been as happy with a clothing purchase in a very long time and I’m old. Which is another thing. They are great for any age. I’m in my 60’s and highly recommend them for anyone if any age
