The Mondo Llama crate is the kind you buy for double the money (or more) from an artisan. Ordered three more, will literally never buy a wooden crate anywhere else again.

New ones are smaller and not sturdy
I purchased 2 of these crates back in 2021 and was impressed with the quality. I used them as they were and the wood has aged well, and despite a few moves and exposure to different weather conditions they're still holding up great. 2 years later I bought another crate expecting the same quality, but the new ones are made of softer wood and about half an inch smaller. Thinking the first one I received was defective I ordered another to compare, but it was also half an inch smaller. I've only just received this new one and it's already chipping, with one of the planks falling apart. Obviously I'll be returning it. Very disappointing that the quality has gone down.
