Learning Resources Double-Sided Magnetic Fraction Squares, 51 Pieces

The worst fraction tool I have ever used. There is no consistency in the way the pieces line up students can easily form misconceptions based on the size and shape of the tiles. Do not use these with students learning fractions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a great idea! You can actually line up the fractions to add, subtract, & compare the sizes. So much realistic than the magnetic pie shapes. Strong magnets, but easy to manipulate.

I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. This product was easy use. One of the best parts of this product was that it had the fraction written on one side and the percentages on the other side. The fractions were different colors and sizes which made it easy to compare. I would recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves these fraction magnets. They are of quality construction and will hold up with active kids. My son has these in his classroom and wanted them for home. He uses them daily and makes learning math enjoyable for him. I would recommend this to anyone who has little kiddos at home starting fractions.

I was struggling to teach my 6 year old son the different music notes (quarter note, half note, whole note etc) since he hasn't learned fractions yet in school. These magnets are awesome in helping to visualize this concept and understand the various beats. The bright colors and strong magnets are a huge plus. I'm sure we'll be using them a lot more when he is actually learning fractions in school.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both of my daughters (ages 7 & 11) have gotten a lot of use out of these and we've only had them a month. They are seriously so great for making fractions make sense. The magnets are colorful and strong. And I love how all the "wholes" are exactly the same size and then each whole breaks down into the correct number of pieces. Seeing it and being able to create the whole on their own made the idea of fractions click with my kids. All in all, I know they will continue to play with this and it will really help learning fractions as my kids are required to use fractions in other ways.

The double sided magnets are beneficial for compact storage, and very helpful when explaining fractions to students

These fraction magents were the focal point to the introduction of equal shares in my classroom. The students were able to see whole parts being split into equal shares. They were able to see the equal shares put back together to make a whole again. This is make and break fractions, and an excellent visual, plus hands on way to present equal shares! The bright and different colors for each set of fractions adds to the effectiveness. This allows the students to see the difference in size between 1/2 and 1/3, or 1/5. The double sides with the percentages on the back leads to a whole new lesson as well. I highly reccommend this product. The fraction magents were easy to use, very durable and highly effective. They are now a must have product for me when teaching fractions, and they will be for you too!

I received this product as part of an incentive review program. I absolutely love these double sided magnetic fractions. One side displays fractional parts and the other side displays percentages. They are very durable! They are large and brightly colored to provide an excellent student visual in a classroom setting. They are easy to manipulate. Students can move them around on the magnetic board with ease. These magnetic fractions are great tools for a general education classroom, as well as, a wonderful resource for teachers of diverse learners. I highly recommend all of Learning Resources "Magnetic" products if you have white boards in your classroom.
