Q: I see that this step-by-step number line is made of vinyl. If the kids are hopping/jumping on the number line what prevents it from sliding/moving and kids getting hurt? Should I tape it down?

  • A: Thank you for reaching out. We suggest kids step, not jump on the number line to avoid slipping. Taping it down is an option, although it’s possible the tape may stretch the vinyl a bit. LOVE!

I teach preschool special needs and my kida love this mat. We taped it to the floor and jump from one number to the next, counting out loud. We also made cards for the kids to match numerals and picture representations of the numbers.
