The F1 model car features a cockpit that opens by lifting the halo bar, a rear wing, wishbone suspension, sponsor stickers and wider rear tires imprinted with “Pirelli.” The toy vehicle also comes with a driver minifigure wearing a McLaren outfit and a winged helmet to place inside the cockpit for racing action. LEGO Speed Champions sets let kids and racing fans build models of some of the world’s most iconic vehicles, including other F1 cars (sold separately) from the 2024 championship season. As expected, the instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the six individual numbered bags make the building process smooth and organised, helping to keep everything in one place. The stickers add a nice finishing touch, though they can be a little tricky to apply, especially if they need to be repositioned. Overall, it’s a well-presented, enjoyable set that offers a fun and rewarding build.

I am an F1 fan and really enjoyed this build (so much so that I actually purchased the others in the collection). I found that the instructions were clear and easy to follow. This was one of the many Legos I’ve completed over the past few years, and I can say it’s one of my favorites! It looks great and i can’t wait to display it.

This is a great looking model, but you will need the patience of a saint. As soon as you place any pressure while adding more pieces the bottom plate and side panel will shatter apart. Either you have to be extremely careful or you will want super glue.

This is the worst lego set i have ever built. The side pods and floor panels fall off every time its handled making construction very difficult and once again too many stickers

My friend actually got me into formula one and every since then i have been obsessed with anything formula one related so when my birthday came around i got 4 formula one lego sets which i absolutely adore with me life . I got the mclaren and hass speed champions a sauber mini lego car and a technic Mercedes and they are all so high quality and unique . Even with then all being from the same collection each set is a different build and experience. I highly recommend these sets and the experience of building them is even better if you are watching a race and building it at the same time .

He said the instructions are clear and easy to follow and I like how the lego is all separated into numbered bags making it easier for him to not lose the smaller pieces (which he usually does!) He's lego mad and is very happy putting it together, it's not a quick one to do which means it's keeping him busy for a while. Happy kid, happy mum!

This McLaren MCL38 was so fun to build; I love all the cool details from the real 2024 race car. The wider rear tires, sponsor stickers, and opening cockpit with the halo bar are all super cool touches that make it feel authentic. It’s the perfect mix of display worthy and playable, especially with the driver minifig that fits right in the cockpit. Whether you’re a LEGO collector or just an F1 enthusiast, there’s no doubt you will enjoy this. Fun to build, looks great on a shelf, and gives off major race day vibes. It also makes a great gift.

Really easy to follow instructions, design is perfect as there are moving parts aswell as the wheels giving the built model motion when pushed along. Durable as my 5 year old is happily playing with her favourite teams car and so far I've not had to put anything back together. Safety first - it includes the Halo ;) joking aside definitely not for children who put objects in their mouths so keep out of reach of those curious hands (and mouths) really enjoyed building this one and now currently have a couple more on order for the set
