This build is beautiful. I loved putting the separate elements together and bringing them together at the end. I even made some modifications to the fan. It looks so good displayed on my shelf!
Building options…

The instructions state that the two versions of the build cannot be built simultaneously, but they CAN. The “tree limb” option builds is built onto the fan in the absence of the parts for the “completed fan” option; it mounts to the fan using a small raised attachment structure. I simply placed the completed “tree limb” aside and used the parts (bag #8) to complete the fully decorated fan, then replaced several of the parts in the attachment structure with square red bricks which would fit into the corresponding void on the surface of the now fully-decorated fan, finally mounting the “tree limb” over the completed fan. I like the result.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this set and appreciate how much thought they gave into this one. Very organized by bags and had extras, so that was a plus. It had separate direction books per piece, so I really appreciated that. The persimmon was definitely the cherry on the top for me. Really happy Legos had a line up for the Asian Lunar New Years 🥰 This line up was very different and fun to do. So beautiful, once I finish the set with my daughter, I'm going to display it in the front of my business to bring us some more fortune.

I recently bought the LEGO Good Fortune set, and it’s a delightful tribute to the Chinese New Year. The intricate design, featuring a traditional red and gold colour scheme, really captures the festive spirit. It’s not just a fun build, but also an interesting exploration of culture, with the set’s vibrant details symbolising good luck and prosperity. The process of putting it together was both relaxing and rewarding, making it a perfect addition to any collection, especially during the celebrations. If you’re looking to add a touch of festive cheer to your space, this set is certainly worth it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an excellent family project. We enjoyed putting this together and the end result is beautiful. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. All of the parts were included and there are even extras of some of the smaller pieces. There are multiple configurations that you can choose to build and they all look great. Perfect way to celebrate the spring festival.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was very excited about this set! This can be built separately, so no worrying that you have to put everything together. Easy with instructions, but confusing at times. Does comes with separate bags with numbers on them! So you won't get too confused on what set you are building. Pretty easy build. The fan can have two different designs. The vase is s bit flimsy and tends to tip over. Just need a good flat service. Has a easy to built scroll that says spring on it and a calligraphy ink pen! This is a very lovely set and makes a beautiful display talking piece for a coffee table! Hope they make more of these. This is my favorite so far! Very fun and relaxing to pass some time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LEGO has truly outdone itself with the Good Fortune Spring Festival Celebration set! This vibrant and intricately designed build is not only a stunning display piece but also a meaningful way to celebrate Chinese culture and traditions. As a mom who adopted my daughter from China, our family has made it a tradition to build a LEGO Spring Festival set every year. Each creation becomes a cherished memory, representing another year of love, growth, and honoring her heritage. We always save our past sets, and one day, my daughter will pass them on to her own children—a tangible reminder of her early days in the U.S. and the traditions we built together. This year, we are a little late in getting started, but for good reason—I was thrilled to receive this set as a complimentary gift from Influenster! Since I knew it was on its way, I held off on purchasing one, but as the saying goes, better late than never! We haven’t put it together yet, but we can already tell this will be a stunning build. The traditional Chinese architecture, vibrant red and gold color scheme, and symbolic elements make it a perfect centerpiece for our home. The set includes lanterns, food stalls, firecrackers, and adorable minifigures in festive attire, all of which will bring the joy and energy of a Spring Festival celebration to life once assembled. We are especially excited to build the beautiful bonsai tree and lucky decorations, which symbolize prosperity and happiness. The intricate design of the pavilion and the lucky koi fish will add an authentic touch, making this set a wonderful way to keep my daughter’s Chinese heritage alive in a fun and engaging way. The building experience will be just as special as the finished product! LEGO always delivers with high-quality pieces, clear instructions, and fun surprises along the way. I can’t wait to sit down with my daughter and create something that will not only look amazing but will also connect us to her roots in a hands-on, meaningful way. If you’re looking for a meaningful, educational, and beautiful way to celebrate Chinese culture, this set is an absolute must-have. Whether you build it as a family tradition like we do, or simply want a stunning display piece, it truly captures the spirit of the Lunar New Year. Thank you, LEGO and Influenster, for gifting us this special set—we can’t wait to build it and treasure it for years to come! ❤️🏮🐉✨ #Gifted #LEGO #SpringFestival #LunarNewYear #ChineseCulture #FamilyTraditions #BetterLateThanNever

Problem with Set Design

Overall the set is decent, but the fruit you build simply does not look like a persimmon. If that was the goal, product designers should have made their best efforts to ensure accuracy amongst the set, most logically by elongating the persimmon. A unknowing passerby would likely mistake the persimmon for something such as an orange, and I find it slightly disrespectful toward the community and culture this set intended on celebrating to create such confusion.

Really love everything about this set, from the interchangeable aspects to the overall design. The set took me a good time to build as it wasn't too long but wasn't too short. Love the bird option on the fan.

I was so excited for this build I thought was beautiful before I got it. Then I tried to build it. Omg it fell apart numerous times, you can’t move it after building it because it falls apart everywhere. Vase doesnt hold up, “Tray” is a joke. Zero on sturdiness. Fan falls apart too. Nothing fashioned together to stay put. Such basic techniques with no interior strong construction like builds were before. So disappointed 😞this was in memory of my brother and it’s nearly Junk.

Turned out very well! Beautiful and fairly easy to put together. Only messed up once, but was easy to find my mistake and correct. I am really enjoying the oriental pieces.
