Two huge chips in the top surface out of the box. I have been trying to get a replacement for a week and the vendor is apparently *not responding* to target. Target can’t do anything at the moment until 5 business days. We’ll see what happens tomorrow as that will be 5 business days.

the "gold" parts art worn off and it looks nothing like the picture. the legs are damaged. wasn't even packaged correctly so not sure if I got a new or returned item

Returned. Not at all like the color pictured, definitely not walnut.

Almost every piece was broken, scratched or dinged. Wobbles badly. Don’t waste your time. But hey… Customer Service gave me $20 back when it should have been 50% for damage 😂

Looks good. Good size. Sturdy. BUT the color is MUCH lighter than pictured. Didn’t match the other wood furniture in room.

The drawers don’t stay closed

The desk is almost exactly as pictured. Assembly took about an hour and a half. My husband liked that all of the hardware (screws, dowels, cam bolts, etc) were in their own ziplock and labeled. I also like that the drawers have metal slides not just indentations that they slide in and out of which makes them a lot sturdier. One thing I was disappointed in was the quality, some pieces had scratches, dings in the legs, and one piece the edge was damaged but it ended up being an edge that isn’t visible when assembled. For targets price I’m ok with that but other retailers are $50-$200 more than here so if I’d paid some of the high prices I have seen I’d have been very unhappy.

It was all going well until the wood began to crack while putting it together and there was a defect. The holes to line up the backboard for the drawers were not there.

Beautiful desk, but you really have to be in it for the long haul when it comes to assembly. I, by nature, love to follow directions. But this desk still took a few hours to put together. It came out really well. The only thing I would change would be the metal plates where the desk and legs are joined. If these were a brass color, it would be perfect.

Great looking desk. I consider myself advanced when it comes to furniture assembly it took me about 2 hrs to assemble it by myself. But, overall I would purchase again wished it was a little wider. I purchased the desk to fir in with my mid-century modern decor.

Great little desk for the value. Admittedly there were lots of peices to assemble. Took me an hour to put together. Once completed it looks perfect.

I read the reviews after I bought it and was really worried for its arrival. It came with no scratches or damage and a day early! It did take a long time to put together, but I did it by myself even with three kids to take care of and it was just fine! I bought it as a surprise for my husband and he was in love with it! The drawers are a bit stiff but nothing unmanageable. It’s beautiful and we love it!

I really like this desk. It arrived with some scratches, but not as bad as others have shown on their reviews here. Target refunded a portion of the purchase price because I didn't want to return it and already assembled it, hoping the scratches wouldn't be too noticeable in the grand scheme. They were pretty obvious after assembly so they refunded a portion of the cost in a Target credit. The damage wasn't as bad as others showed in their reviews so I didn't want to risk getting a more damaged desk if we exchanged it. I was able to touch up the scratches with a wood marker and they aren't really even noticeable now. The assembly took my husband and I about 2 hours. It wasn't simple but not overly complicated where we couldn't figure it out. As others have said, it would be nice it some stuff was pre assembled, like the drawer glides. The desk is a little bit lighter in color than is pictured on the website, but it's still nice. Keep in mind it's not solid wood so I don't know how durable it will be. But the style is quite nice.

While reading the reviews about the factory and shipping defects I thought some people were just getting unlucky. I thought I'd take my chances and that everything would turn out ok, or that I'd be able to repair any damage on arrival. I was wrong. The wooden legs are made of soft pine and arrived with deep dents and dings from the other pieces shifting in the box. The drawer sides and desktop corners were frayed and crushed as if they had been repeatedly dropped. The style of the desk is adorable and provides a sleek, mid-century modern touch, but the hassle of the shipping defects magnified by the product pieces being such cheap, irreparable quality, as well as the struggle in returning the item, wasn't worth the purchase. Come on, Target. You're better than this!

I loved the look of this item but after almost exactly one year it is falling apart. The side of the desk with the drawers cannot withstand the weight of (normal) desk items and has pulled apart from the top of the desk. It is a flimsy structure.

Terrible to assemble. Cheap and the back leg broke off. Can’t return, as I just now assembled it and too late. Don’t waste your money!

This is a bueatiful desk and it’s fairly simple to put together (1.5 hours by myself). It arrived quickly and in pretty good shape. One damaged short leg, but they’re sending me a new leg to replaced the damaged one. The drawers are a little stiff opening and closing, but I suppose that is from its newness. The desk top is smooth and classy. It’s quite sturdy and large enough for my laptop, and Bluetooth speaker. I can also have my printer on the desk but that’s a little too much, really. The coloring of the desk is beautiful and consistent and the wood is a beautiful grain.

This is a very good quality desk, sturdy, great walnut color. Love it. The desk drawers are deep. Didn't have any scuff or scratches on it. The only downside is that it was difficult to assemble. Took about 1.5-2 hours to put together. Some of the holes didn't align properly but it still assembled. I would definitely recommend this desk (especially considering the price point!).

I loved the look, but a pain to put together. They could have put the tracks on the drawers and other hardware to make it less time consuming. As much as I loved it, the leg snapped off and I couldn’t screw it back because its made of pressboard and it ripped up. I had to return the desk. That was another pain

Beautiful desk! Great quality and style. It does take a little while to assemble, but the directions are clear and concise. Overall very happy with my new desk!
