Note the attached picture.. I have done this for years using various short cords enjoy this. Not to run it, but as an easily accessible outlet. I bought this as a short extension from the ceiling outlet in my garage down to the garage door opener. Makes life so much easier. A few zip ties as shown and it is simple to apply for vacuuming the car, plugging in a drop light etc

I operate this cord to power Intex Salt Water system and pool pump. It looks sturdy and been running for coupe weeks now outside with no issue.
