Lifetime 8 Ft. x 12.5 Ft. Outdoor Storage Shed, Tan (60395)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great purchase and perfect for our needs. It wasn't too big for two people to put together. My husband's in his fifties and i'm in my mid forties, we both have type two diabetes, and neither one of us are very athletic. We put this together on a Saturday afternoon in October, with temperatures in the mid seventies with pretty low humidity for our region. I was on my period and not in the greatest of moods, but this went together pretty smoothly, probably better than some ikea furniture we've put together. It was nice to have some youtube videos to watch to see how to put it together and the instructions were pretty straightforward aside from some pages in the instruction manual being where they shouldn't have been and it was mostly just the list of parts that was somewhere in the middle of the instructions instead of at the beginning. All parts were accounted for and unpackaging, it was pretty straightforward. I would suggest having two people to put this together so bring some extra wrenches and an extra drill so you both have the tools you need so both can be working at the same time. We started at 10 am, took a fifteen minute rest break and a thirty minute lunch break.We stopped around 6 pm and finished the roof the next day. The only issue we ran into is some of the plastic parts broke off on the skylight, but we just went to lowe's and got some longer screws and that worked just fine. I'm very happy with it and will probably buy another one since we have the room.

Other than that it’s just as expected. I had professionals build a concrete base and the shed, the only issue they noticed was the doors did not align properly. They had to maneuver it a lot to get it to close smoothly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the shed on a Friday - completed on Sunday. About 3 days total mostly by myself. Had to switch between video instructions/booklet instructions (one video says “private only” so had to google it separately) For some things they would show something being installed one way - and another way in the pamphlet/video so had to kind of figure it out with some of it. Overall pretty straight forward, just relatively time consuming. Can’t wait to use it though!

We bought this several months ago but had to wait for better weather to build it. It went up very easy with just 2 people in one afternoon! Very spacious and a great price!

We are storing supplies and tools and this shed and it is indeed waterproof. We added a heavy duty lock and solar lighting. Shelves to be added next

I installed this a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed having the additional storage it provides. It was quite the process of installing it however. I felt the lack of direction on how to attack the walls to the roof greatly impacted the installation. There was a lot of fighting with the walls and trusses, and roof panels to get everything properly together. The skylights seemed too difficult to install, I think having longer tabs or holes would’ve made it easier.

Going on 2 years and it stands up to the hot Texas sun! Added a solar panel, battery and LED lights and it’s now perfect!

It was estimated that it would take 2 people 8 hrs to build; that was pretty accurate to the actual setup time. We worked on it in the evening and had it competed in two days. The guided video definitely was a huge help. I was very impressed on the setup of the parts. They were labeled very well and the design made it almost impossible to install the pieces wrong. The hardest part was getting the sides to connect to the base. We did end up having to use the tip in the video of popping the bottom up with a piece of wood. All in all, we are happy with how it turned out and the setup really wasn’t that difficult. My wife loved the added details of the window and skylights. Everything came together very nicely.

As someone who's not really a DIY expert, I’m an accountant by day, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up. The instructions were clear, and all the pieces fit together perfectly. One crucial tip I'd like to share is to make sure you have a level base and solid material underneath before assembling. I tried to use permeable pavers with gravel infill but worried that installing it on gravel would make the shed not last as long. I reached out to Lifetime, and they suggested a more permanent base as this ensures stability and longevity for your shed. Once I had my new base finished the rest of the installation process was a breeze. The size of the shed is just perfect for my needs. It's spacious enough to store all my lawn equipment, tools, and even a few other odds and ends, yet it doesn't take up too much space in my yard. Plus, having all these items organized and stored away frees up so much space in my garage for other things. Overall, I give this shed a solid 5 stars. It's practical and does exactly what I need it to do. If you're in the market for a reliable outdoor storage solution, look no further!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the end result of this shed. It is very sturdy, well designed, and appears that it will last for years. After the shed is fully assembled, the thing doesn’t budge. I also believe this shed will also take little to no time to maintain. The floor is nice and is slip-resistant. Looking forward to storing many items in the shed that we previously had scattered throughout the garage. I also like the screened vents that will allow some air circulation. I am impressed with the neutral colors. It won’t clash with your house, regardless of your home’s color. It did take quite a bit of effort and time to put together. And it can be a bit intimidating with the literal dozens of parts and hundreds of screws. The instruction manual looks like a magazine. But just be patient, don’t skip steps, and don’t assume you should do something just because it looks right. Follow the instructions. I haven’t yet had a good rain or snowfall on the shed, so perhaps I’ll update this review after that occurs. I was able to put about 95% of it together by myself. The part where I needed the most assistance was putting in the side panels, particularly the corner side panels. The size of the shed (8 x 12.5) works good for our needs and available space. I’m looking forward to years of using our new Lifetime shed. We did receive this shed for free from Lifetime in exchange for this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have any doubts about this shed, let me dispel them for you. This thing is extremely well made and sturdy. The colors are very nice and the textures make this appear to be made of more than just plastic! I’m super happy with how this turned out, and look forward to filling it up. I’m still debating whether to turn it into a little workshop, or just use it for storage. Assembly: Let me start by saying that this can seem a bit daunting when you have 3 huge, heavy boxes show up on a pallet. Don’t let that scare you. Assembly is quite straight forward. The first thing I would recommend is to open up all the boxes and sort all the contents. This helped me immensely, rather than trying to search through each box every time I needed something new. The next thing that may help to know is that the center 4 pages of the instruction book (give or take a couple) are just part references. Rip those pages out to make finding the correct parts a bit easier. Be sure to read through the directions thoroughly. I decided I knew what to do on a couple of the steps, and had to fix my mistakes (putting up the shelf ended up being one of the longest parts due to this 🤦🏼‍♂️). A magnetic Phillips head drill bit will be your best friend. And while you’re at it, grab a pouch to wear to put all the screws in. There are a bazillion! My recommendation is to use an impact driver, with a really light trigger finger. I think if you were to use a regular drill you may be more prone to strip out the screws. I’m pretty sure the directions don’t want you to use a drill, but you’d have a severe case of carpal tunnel if you used a screw driver for all the screws. Another thing that will help with assembly is to have a perfectly level pad to set it on. I found out my pad is not quite level, making assembly a bit tricky at times. I should mention that I built this thing all on my own, without any help. There were only a couple times that I could have used some assistance. One of those was putting the doors on. It would be helpful to have someone holding them up while you place the upper panel in place. One of my doors tipped over, bending part of the flooring it was seated into. This didn’t end up being a problem, but could if you’re putting this together on a cold day. Total assembly time for me was probably about 6 hours, but it was split between two days due to schedule. I actually had a great time putting it together! It’s like a giant Lego set (almost). Overall, I’d give this a 5 start rating. If I remember in 6 months, I’ll try to update this review and add in my thoughts on durability.

We recently bought a four wheeler that is taking up too much space in the garage so we thought a shed would be a good option for us. The lifetime 8x12.5 foot shed is perfect. We can fit the four wheeler plus the snowblower and de clutter our garage of all of the random garden tools that makes it feel unorganized when I walk in. I was prepared for the assembly to be time consuming so I recruited my dad and my sister to help. It took three of us a full day to put the shed together. A perfectly level surface is a must in order for the parts to fit together well. When we put it together it was 40 degrees outside and windy. We couldn’t get some of the pieces to fit together (especially the corner walls that click in). We ended up using a blow dryer to warm them up and then they went in easily. Might want to store the pieces in the house until you need them if it’s cold outside. The shelf also proved to be difficult and we couldn’t get the screws to go in the shelf anchors without the anchors twisting. We never found a video specific to this shed so we had to just use the instruction manual. A video would have been helpful. There were a few times where we had to kind of guess if we were doing it correctly. Most of the parts are not labeled so identifying the correct part can take a few minutes. The shed itself is just like I expected as a product of Lifetime. Once the installation is complete the shed feels sturdy and weather proof. The color is very neutral so it doesn’t distract from our house. My favorite part is that there is no maintenance or upkeep. I didn’t want something that I would have to paint or stain. We are excited to have this as an addition to our home.
