Came a bit scuffed, dented and one paddle was cracked

We've kayaked for 5 years now (average about 10 times per year) with it and it has only turned over on us 1 time when we were trying to get back on it after getting off to swim. We've been through very rough waters both in lakes and in the ocean and never came close to tipping over. Highly recommend it and if ours ever wears out, we will definitely buy the exact same one again!

I love the Manta Kayak, it's great value and the shipping time was reasonable.

I ordered 2 Kayaks. One was fine but the other had a seam that was not molded together in the scupper hole. I would have given fiver stars if one of them was not defective. I welded together and problem solved but others may not have been able to do so. On the positive these are designed perfectly for my family as they are great for kids. They can help paddle, sit anywhere they would like and jump off of if they would like. The most stable boat I have ever been on. As an adult i can even stand on it and even pull myself up onto it without any issues of them rolling over or tipping. Tracking is good with one person but once you start adding people just like any other kayak it does slow it down but that is expected. Again Great Kayak for a family who enjoys recreational use and enjoying the lake.

First time request for plugs for our kayak which we have had for four or 5 years. Jonathan, our customer service rep. was quick to accommodate our need and we will shortly have what we need. JOY!

It doesn’t come with paddles, even though the yellow version does include paddles at the same price. You have two call and make them send you the paddles if you buy the green one.

I had an issue with a blade on my kayak paddle, probably caused by my own ineptitude. I contacted customer service and they shipped at their expense a new paddle out to me. If their products are lifetime then so is my loyalty. Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This craft moves very well with decent speed. If you twist your hips while paddeling it can track a little off, but once you learn that it gets easy. As far as capacity I myself am 46lbs over the weight limit. I purchased this craft after losing 60lbs to help with more activity to change, and when I got down to its' capacity I was going try it out. Well my wife was taking her kayak out and I thought Im going to try it worse case I tip it over and keep loosing till I can. To my delight I got in very stable no flipping no sinking and two and a half hours of exploring. Our little guy is 54lbs and out in the lake he was swimming and wanted to climb in with me. So i pulled him up and he rode with me for awhile till he got hot and jumped back in. Again cant say enough good things about this kayak. The only down side some will say is it is big and 70lbs is heavy compared to other kayaks, but so worth it for what it can do and especially for the price. I hope this review helps others with more info or need inspiration to get more active like me.

On the plus side it's relatively light, very short (10ft vs 12-16ft for others) and because it is so wide (36" vs most tandems 30-34") very stable. You also sit very high (especially back sit) that you stay dry. But there all downside when conditions are not perfect.... My biggest issue is that is was VERY slow and hard to get back as soon as the wind picks up it becomes a huge wind anchor (because it is so high/wide) and started really worrying I wasn't going to get back with the kids even though I was peddling as hard as I could, but we were drifting down wind. Some friends on ocean kayaks (single and double) where smoking us and had no issues getting back up wind (I also own a scrambler 11 for ocean diving which I use a lot. Totally different efficiency). Also there is NO WAY to peddle comfortably with a small child in the middle - I kept hitting her back even when she nudged herself as far forward as possible (see second pic - she's sitting normally there.). I wish she could sit backward (back against front person) but the seat mold isn't shaped that way. Will have to try that next time. don't believe the info videos... there is no way a 10ft can handle 3 people when most tandems for just 2 are 12-16ft. Also tracking (going straight) isn't great - you have to alternate front/back of you will sigg-jagg all over. Ton of rocker to the boat (= slow). If you're on a flat lake with no wind and want to just goof around, yeah it's a great very compact and dry kayak. Otherwise a liability IMO as soon as you have any wind. Going up for sale to get a long and narrow 2+ people that sits lower in the water.

Purchase the manta kayak.....great product....great warranty....Great staff....I would strongly recommend their products. Buy with peace of mind!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this b/c I have kids under 6 that love going out on the water. Myself and my 2 kids take this kayak out on the water every weekend in the summer. there's more than enough room for the 3 of us(Both are under 6) we paddle around sometime they jump in the water and are able to get in easily. Other days 2 of us will take small fishing rods and fish off of it. my son is able to comfortably stand on it and cast. Fits easily in the back of the truck and easy to drag off. Have had it for going on 3 seasons now and it's still in great condition.

I’ve had this kayak for about a year and have got about 20-30 hrs on it. It’s my first kayak. I knew I wasn’t buying a high end kayak for my first one just stability. It has lived up to that. I can stand and use as SUP with no problems. Not sure what it would take to tip it over, but I have tried dozens of ways and failed. I have had fun and enjoyed it. But it is time to move up to a kayak that will go fast and straight. Literally no tracking with this kayak and slow as a snail. Light currents are even a battle, and if the wind picks up your in for a workout. Constant paddling to stay moving and to stay straight. I am 5’6 175 lbs solid from being an athlete all my life and sometimes it wears me out paddling. Shoulders will ache and arms will be tired. Don’t get me wrong I have had tons of fun on it tooling down bayou’s of Louisiana. Up close and personal with gators. But I am ready for better.

I love my kayak when I go fishing and hanging out with my friends

Have owned for a few years, pretty stable, had to add better back rests. The lack of a keel (the bottom is quite rounded both front and back) won't let you track (go straight.) Any speed above a crawl and it turns dramatically left or right depending on who knows what. Hard to imaging you guys didn't put one in the water and paddle it. Has a small leak somewhere I can't find.

We used this kayak this summer. What an awesome kayak. We used it several times and loved every minute of it. We were sad when the summer ended. It is very stable. We loved that my husband and I could ride together and still had room for one of our grandkids. The young women from our church used them most had never been on kayaks and were not sure of using it. Within 5 minutes they were all have so much fun we had to drag them off the lake. This kayak is worth every penny! #lifetimefamous
