Lipton Reduced Sugar Lemon Iced Tea Mix - 50.2oz

This is definitely some horrible diet iced tea. Some stores have stopped carrying regular mix and replaced it with this horror. I don't shop at those stores any more. Bad flavor, bad aftertaste. Please just discontinue this insult to iced tea.

The product is fine, but target needs to make sure the people who packaged these items that they use packing material in the box. The box istwice as large as what the package what was in the box was and everything rolling around. It could've very easily been damaged the fedxjust dropped it on the porch, so it was very lucky that none of these canisters were damaged. So a little quality control during packaging would be nice. Otherwise you're just gonna have a bunch of returns or refunds in the future just a thought.

I have trouble staying hydrated, partly because I forget to drink water. I happened onto a solution based on my love of this tea. I keep a small glass on the cupboard next to the fridge and when I drink a glass of this tea, which I don't have trouble remembering, then I drink a glass of plain water along with it. No longer a problem.

Tastes like artificial sweeteners but I dont see it. Much preferred the old version.

This stuff is so nasty and artificial tasting that I almost threw up. I don’t know what they put in it, but it’s a completely different recipe than the original. This is going into the trash and I want my money back.

Tastes okay (not quite as good as before), but measuring is NOW tricky. 2 Tablespoons of the old product was perfect but how do you measure 1/3 tablespoon??? I've never found one...so you have to guesstimate. Hubby is extremely picky and I have yet to get it right which was NEVER a problem before. Just another case of fixing what wasn't broken to the detriment of the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good sized container. Well made package. Doesn't smell too strongly of lemon. No clumps in the mix. Mixing takes time for the powder to dissolve completely(up to 15 minutes for a large gallon jug). Family didn't really taste a difference between the reduced sugar version and the normal version. I might buy it again if it was on sale, but the long mixing time took points off for me.

I was a little concerned at how much powder you need to make 2 qts so I used warm water to mix it and then added ice. I like that the sugar content per serving is 18g instead of 24g but it’s still too much to be my go to drink. I would probably only buy this once or twice a year to satisfy a craving. I typically don't let my child have sugary drinks, but since this has 25% less sugar than the traditional mix, a glass of nostalgia wouldn't be so bad! Packaged in your traditional hard cardboard, cylinder container. Dissolved with ease, even in cold water. So I was able to drink immediately!

Very important that you can make it yourself and it's maybe sweet or not really sweet. The serving size on the side is very accurate and helpful. It's very easy to mix. Package is durable and not easy to destroy.

I was skeptical when I got the chance to try this “less sugar” Lipton tea, but to my surprise it tastes exactly the same as I remember. Lightly sweet (and not artificial, thanks to cane sugar), lemony tart, with a perfect blend of a natural Lipton flavor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Influenster in exchange for my review. This is a 3 pound, 2.2 ounce canister of sweetened tea mix. It makes 28 quarts of tea. Its first ingredient is cane sugar. It states that it has 25% less sugar than regular Lipton tea mix. It also has citric acid, instant tea powder, maltodextrin, natural flavor, and carrot juice. The maltodextrin may, possibly, be added to replace the larger amount of cane sugar in its regular iced tea. The product had 18 g of carbohydrate in a 12 ounce serving. Each 12 ounce serving is supposed to be made with one and 1/3 tablespoons of tea mix. It did not include a measuring spoon in the canister. The product tasted good, when mixed with water, but the powder itself has a slightly bitter, metallic taste. It did not have a noticeable lemony taste. I don’t like that it has maltodextrin, which is an unhealthier, artificial sugar, compared to cane sugar, and that it has natural flavors, which is a vague term. It also states it contains a bioengineered food ingredient, but it doesn’t state what that ingredient is. Lipton in such a well-known, big company, that I would like to see it provide a more positive example to other companies by using organic ingredients that are of a better quality. I do not recommend this product.
