I am a true southerner from South Carolina, 60yo and been drinking Lipton my entire life. I have followed my gandma's and mom's way of brewing, only way I know. I tried the instructions on the box one day, it wasn't my cup of tea, little weak taste. Want to try something different, try this. On stove, gallon of water in pot. Add 2 family size tea bags, 1 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 tsp of baking soda, bring almost to a boil. Remove from heat, cover and let sit to room temp. Put in refrigerator over night. Ready the next day. The baking soda brings the strength of tea out and tea is not see thru and the coolness makes it sweeter. Enjoy!!

Quality brew, but you actually need 2+ bags depending on strength you need. But 1 bag, which they are larger than normal tea bags, is not going to give you a good consistent taste profile.
