Turtle in too many pieces

It came in 8 pieces, 4 for the bottom and 4 for the top. Very hard to put together and stay in place. I had no idea it came in pieces!

Don't buy

I had one of these when my kids were young and was amazing, solid one piece bottom and top..NOW you have to build, it won’t stay together, absolutely the WORST little tikes toy made.

Cheap and flimsy

This is a new, cheaply made product that is a green turtle and carries the Little Tikes logo, making you think it's the quality product we once knew and loved. This flimsy, thin plastic, 3D printed contraption requires patience and luck to construct, is small, and sand comes out of the bottom continuously because the only way to actually secure it would be gluing all the loose parts together.

Absolute garbage. Bought this as an impulse purchase without reading reviews and deeply regret it. The plastic is so thin, I doubt this will last in the summer sun. And tell me why a sandbox comes in 10 hard to assemble pieces. The base popped apart multiple times before I could get sand in it, so I'm going to guess it will be leaking soon. Do not buy

Do not recommend

Bad excuse for a sandbox. You have to snap pieces of very thin plastic together. These multiples seams would allow for bugs and sand leakage. Definitely not like what Little Tykes used to make.

Why change original design

Not blow molded in one piece any longer. Quality isn’t there. I saw this product in store with intent to purchase and was disappointed. As a machinist I can’t understand why little tikes would waste so much engineering on having so many points of failure on something so simple. Not to mention mold maintenance.

Awful assembly

Assembly was horrible. The pieces to not click together easily at all. I followed the video instructions to a T and my pieces would still not click together. I unassembled and reassembled many times to try to get it to work and never could. I clicked it together just enough to hold sand but the entire bottom is not together because my pieces wouldn’t click leaving cracks and one hole where all the corners should neatly meet. It is also made of cheap thin plastic completely different from the original. I will consider returning not sure if I can since I did let the kids play in it.

🐢 Now that my Grown Babies are talking about having Babies, I'm going down Memory Lane & want to finally share what Little Tikes is to me: DURABILITY! When we lived in NC & Hurricane Fran came through town, one of our backyard Loblolly Pine Trees fell across our Turtle Sandbox-- its weight buckled the Shell Cover. After Emergency Disaster Crew removed the fallen tree, Turtle's Shell literally popped back into its original shape! Not only were my Children able to happily play & return to a sense of normalcy during this time of chaos-- Turtle's Resilience was a symbol of Hope & Strength for me. Thank you-- looking forward to getting another one for my Grandchildren! ♡Gramma Jen
