Do not recommend

Bad excuse for a sandbox. You have to snap pieces of very thin plastic together. These multiples seams would allow for bugs and sand leakage. Definitely not like what Little Tykes used to make.

Why change original design

Not blow molded in one piece any longer. Quality isn’t there. I saw this product in store with intent to purchase and was disappointed. As a machinist I can’t understand why little tikes would waste so much engineering on having so many points of failure on something so simple. Not to mention mold maintenance.

Awful assembly

Assembly was horrible. The pieces to not click together easily at all. I followed the video instructions to a T and my pieces would still not click together. I unassembled and reassembled many times to try to get it to work and never could. I clicked it together just enough to hold sand but the entire bottom is not together because my pieces wouldn’t click leaving cracks and one hole where all the corners should neatly meet. It is also made of cheap thin plastic completely different from the original. I will consider returning not sure if I can since I did let the kids play in it.

🐢 Now that my Grown Babies are talking about having Babies, I'm going down Memory Lane & want to finally share what Little Tikes is to me: DURABILITY! When we lived in NC & Hurricane Fran came through town, one of our backyard Loblolly Pine Trees fell across our Turtle Sandbox-- its weight buckled the Shell Cover. After Emergency Disaster Crew removed the fallen tree, Turtle's Shell literally popped back into its original shape! Not only were my Children able to happily play & return to a sense of normalcy during this time of chaos-- Turtle's Resilience was a symbol of Hope & Strength for me. Thank you-- looking forward to getting another one for my Grandchildren! ♡Gramma Jen

Just purchased and already can see the plastic breaking. Very flimsy hard to put together and I bet just like the other reviews say it wont keep the dry sand. Debating about returning already because this is dollar store quality. Definitely don’t recommend

Extremely disappointed in the quality of the new multi-piece design. This was a fabulous sandbox / pool and because of the new design, it no longer holds water. This one did not need a design upgrade. Bring back the old, lasting Little Tikes toys.

TERRIBLE design

How did this make it to production??? I am immediately returning. No matter how much you wrestle with the pieces they will pop back out. I can already picture the mess this would make had I put sand in it. Not to mention the BUGS.

Not happy with this sandbox

I am not happy about this sandbox. I was so excited to buy one for my granddaughter for her 3rd birthday! To start, it was not easy to assemble! It’s very flimsy and falls apart if one thing gets out of place. We’ve had it for one month and had to remove the sand because ants came in through the bottom. While doing this and moving it, it fell apart! I did not look at other brands because Little Tikes has always had good products. We had one for years when our son was a child and never had these issues! I don’t know why you would lower the quality of this product. Our grand daughter looks forward to playing in her sandbox, so I will probably have to buy a better one before long!

If I could give it a zero I would :/ The parts do not align correctly and a big hazard for littles to get pinched, sand to leak, or bugs to get in. Returned immediately and very disappointed

This is not the turtle sandbox that I had when I was a kid. It comes in many pieces--the top is four pieces and the bottom is four pieces. It's very flimsy and difficult to snap together. The one that I purchased would not line up properly and I'm not sure I would trust it to stay assembled even if I did get it put together
