The SPDI passive direct box from Livewire Solutions is a high-quality, passive D.I. box designed for interfacing instruments like electric guitars, basses and keyboards with PA systems, mixing consoles and recording equipment. With variable attenuation, can adjust the input signal to match instrument's output, ensuring the best signal for any application. When the ground lift switch is engaged, it severs the ground connection between the input and XLR output, eliminating unwanted noise. With the ground switch disengaged, the ground connection remains intact.
Versatile Attenuation Provides Maximum Flexibility
The SPDI passive direct box allows to attenuate instrument's signal from 0 to 40dB using a multi-step pad, providing the optimal level for any equipment. This allows to match the D.I, box to instruments with a wide range of output levels for the best signal in any situation. The stepped attenuation pad includes 0dB, -20dB and -40dB settings, giving a high degree of control over instrument's signal level.
Ground Lift Switch Eliminates Unwanted Noise
A ground lift switch allows to sever the ground connection between the input and balanced XLR output, which can help eliminate unwanted hum and buzz. When the ground lift switch is engaged, it lifts the ground on the XLR output, breaking the connection between the input ground and output ground. This is useful when there are ground loops between equipment. With the ground lift switch disengaged, the ground connection remains intact between the input and output.
