Q: Is there a third bracket for the center to support it when extended the full length, or is the metal sturdy enough to not require it?
submitted by Miranda - 5 years ago
A: Hello Miranda, thank you for your question. Yes, there is a third bracket for added support. Sincerely, Umbra

Q: How to you adjust this rod to what it says at 66 inches? The shortest I measured was 84 inches. Extremely frustrating

Not As Pictured! If you are looking for brass ends, great. If you are looking for black or oil rubbed finials then buy another product! I purchased (without reading reviews - Shane in me) and now have to return. I was looking for black or dark bronze (as pictured on listing) but ended up with shiny bronze (copper) as seen in my photo. Buyer beware.

The actual curtain rod looks nothing like what is pictured. It’s more of a weird, shimmery metal look. Returned.

Color of finial is very bronze (orangey). Not oil rubbed bronze (more brown) as pictured. I returned it.
Not black finials or even close.

Really disappointed with the color of the finial. I expected it to be much more black based on the photos. But it was more like a rose gold rubbed bronze. These will be going back.

These look Black online, they are very much bronze. The description states bronze, but sometimes bronze can be black coated and not look straight "penny bronze". They look good if you want that kind of color. For the price the quality is what you would expect, but they are not heavy duty.

Meh. as others have mentioned, this rod is not intended for curtains with any kind of weight to them. I placed a faux-silk (polyester) curtain with a light lining on these rods. Note: the curtain style was a rod pocket. The rods dipped the further from the brackets. I feel that while this rod can hold most curtains, I would avoid rod pocket styles, I would also avoid extending the rod to it's full potential. This rod works best when it can remain shorter using no center bracket or using a center bracket on a medium or smaller length window. Sadly, I will need to purchase another style of curtain rod and do a slight modification on the bracket for this rod to be able to use it. I reside in an apartment an paid a handyman to come in and hang 6 curtain rods in concrete walls and so I cannot remove the bracket without hiring him again. I will just modify the bracket and use a more formidable rod.
Nice Rod, Target ;)

As long as the hardware is installed correctly and the screws are tightened where they need to be, these curtain rods are completely reliable. If you don't know how to put anchors and screws into a wall, just ask your boyfriend, because these curtain rods are gorgeous. The length of one of our living room windows is 109 1/2" wide, and I extended them to about their maximum length. I don't understand why some people are so bothered by these. All you have to do is have a brain and don't pull down when closing your curtains, and these will hold up as they're supposed to (JUST LIKE ANY CURTAIN ROD.)

Very thin and flimsy. I had four (cheap) Target curtains on it and it was bending. Had to return the curtains and the rod.

I didn't have time to shop and look around so I saw this online. Simple elegance. It's for a narrow window so I noticed the panels I ordered was a single panel so it was perfect (be sure to check for this if you're buying curtains). Delivery was fast. It looks great together! I love this rod, and the price was great! Thank you Target!

This is an ok curtain rod. Color is fine, not as dark as pictured but good enough. Price was right. However the finial comes in 2 different pieces and I can't get the one end screwed on. It was together but then when you had to undo the packaging it came apart. Piece of junk. Too bad. I needed a slender bar and this was the skinniest I could find to fit what I needed it for. I can't get the finial back on so it sits at an angle. Now I have to go back to Target to get a new one or order again online. Something I was hoping to avoid. I would have gave it 5 stars if this didn't happen and it came as 1 unit. Totally makes no sense in this design.

The finials are a much brighter bronze than the pictures online. They look much more metallic and not as dark. They look sturdy and in good condition if you don't mind the color.

These curtain rods are easy to install and look great. I bought one for my kitchen window, which was quite large and liked it so much I decided to get three more for my living room. You don't need to signal Batman to install them, either. I just busted out a drill and a few screws, and up they went! Thanks, Target!
