the first 4 channel system i purchased 6 years ago is still running 24/7, i addae another 8 channel system for a total of 12 cameras Live. since i have had great success with both systems, i keep backup systems on hand in case something happens to one of them. i did replace a Fan once, and the tree squirrels are always ruining my cables. other than that no problems.i think the 6 year old system HD is making a noise that is not good, if it fails, i can just swap out systems. i may put a new HD in it, and keep using it. all in all i love Lorex Systems, i've had mine since FLIR owned the company. great cameras.

Haven't actually installed this system yet, but I've purchased and installed at least a dozen Lorex systems and they all work great. I don't expect anything less from this one.

The new smaller DVR is outstanding and an easy install as a replacement for my 10 year system, with one exception! It does not have the motion detection function to allow it to cause the display to change from four or eight screen display to a full screen for a particular camera when motion is detected. My old system had this function and I was very disappointed to find this newer model without it.

Bought this system for my house. Had installed 2 weeks and very happy with results. The clarity of the pictures are good. The only downside is that you can of only have the app on one phone at a time. When my son logs onto app, I get kicked out and have to relog back on once he closes app on his phone. The monitor in the house is never affected by which user is on the app.

I am disappointed that I can only have one mobile device logged on to see the cameras. Having to log on when I use another device not what I had hoped for.
