These collector boosters are the place where you're more likely to find cards with significant value, but Hasbro/WOTC's quality control hasn't been great in recent years. Well you have that increased chance of getting a valuable card, these collector boosters have ended up depressing the market for most foil printings, making the high price point hard to bear. The pack I open turned out all right. I didn't encounter any of the quality issues that have plagued the product lately, but I purchased it with gift cards (the ones I earned through my other shopping at Target), as I couldn't bring myself to spend cash for the product. If you really want specific great looking foils or specific printings, you are much better off buying singles.
