Description

About the Book

With delicate prose, Tennessee Williams evokes the whims of love, the rawness of loneliness, the tension and heartbreak hidden beneath the surface of social conventions. Mining the silences and dark discretions of provincial life in the US in the 1950s, Williams discovers characters with alienated lives, locked in oppressive environments in which they feel alone and relegated. Men and women who struggle with their own passions and desires, launching into wild adventures with which they try to mitigate the burden of their own melancholy. A book unpublished to date in Spanish in which Tennessee Williams tells us, sometimes in an unexpectedly funny way, the stories of lives that disintegrate.

About the Author
