Bitter Orange Taste
I should have listened to other reviews about the taste but I thought I'd give this a try. Was not spicy at all to me (and I'm super sensitive to spice) thought it's stated on the bottle that it's medium spice. Instead the sauce was bitter, not sweet at all, and unpleasant. I thought the chicken I used might have gone bad, but tasted the sauce separately to confirm. If you're looking for something similar to Panda or the Hello Fresh orange chicken recipe, this sauce is not it. Would rather go through the hassle of making a simple sauce from scratch than eat this again.

Why tomato paste?
This smells and taste like tomatoes and more like a vegetable sauce. Nothing close to orange sauce. Doesn't taste authentic or good. My target ran out of all sauces and I took a chance on this because I was in a hurry. should have known it wasn't good, seeing as the stock was full. Meh, disappointing. Won't be using it, because it just smells... rancid.

So many bottled "Chinese" food sauces simply miss the mark. They just don't taste like something you'd get at a decent Chinese restaurant. This one just strikes the perfect balance. Better than restaurant brands
I have purchased all the name and restaurant brands of orange sauce and Good & Gather is better than all of them. By far. It has the perfect balance of sweet orange and heat. Other brands are just too vinegary. The only problem with this is it's no longer carried in my store. I'll order for shipping as long as Target still makes it.

What a disappointment. The second ingredient is sugar and it tastes like it. If it weren't for the hint of soy sauce, you could just about use this as an ice cream topping.
