SCAM - DO NOT BUY
I wish I had read these reviews before making my purchase. If you're reading this, please do not buy from this company. I purchased a $100 gift card and gave it as a present, only to discover that the last four digits of the card number and the entire security code had been scratched off. The packaging looked completely new and unaltered, and everything appeared very professional. If possible, give cash instead of purchasing one of these cards. I would avoid this company at all costs. Their customer service is terrible. To report an issue, you have to submit a claim through their website. Even when you call, there's no way to speak with a live representative because the automated system requires the full 16-digit card number and the security code, information I don't have because they were scratched off.

Target needs to find a better solution for a Mastercard or a Visa gift card
If you could give zero stars, I would the fact that it is is now you can't use them anywhere because the expiration date is 2038 and even target doesn't take credit cards that have expiration of 2038. I don't know how many complaints to target has had about these cards. They don't care.

scam cards do not buy
target sells scam gift cards, bought my son a birthday card at Target opened the card the next week after his birthday so we could spend it it seems that Target is aware that this is a scam going on and that people are replacing the cards in there and resealing them( in our case a dairy queen card) and then making it so when you scan it it sends the funds to their cards wherever they're doing business so then when you go to use the card there's either no money on it or you don't have a card number so then you call customer service and ask for a new card or refund they cant help you because you're unable to produce this number because it was never in the package to begin with. so then you return to Target and then the worker at the front counter says oh another one of these let me get somebody. but they are no help because they say they can't help you and can give your money back or another card because MasterCard has your money but clearly MasterCard does not have your money the scammer has your money so I asked them what are they doing to keep this from happening or setting a security protocol to not allow this. I was not able to get an answer they just kept escalating it and everybody would give me the same run around. target does not stand behind what they sell. do not buy gift cards from Target you will be disappointed or you will get ripped off, in my case over $100.

Card never worked scam
Card activated by target in 25 use as gifts to y 5 nieces and none of the cards worked target not even in target stores. Target would not refund or advocate. Target card services suggested I reach out to issuer number in the back of the card. I did this the card issuer says that would mail me the refunds including the 6. Fee to activate at the target store. Well before calling the card issuer my information was private and anonymous Until the card issuers verified my address and phone number. What do you know since then no refund checks only Siam call and fake visa rewards mailed to more frequently than normal. Now as of 2026 still no resolve. With target or the card issuer. I did not use my bank card for purchase I used my target card. And as of today it’s confirmed. 121.43 refunded. On 6/20/24 they said the check was cashed Case number 71366429 Incomm is the name of the program partner Instead of using me.

Like others have said, this card is a scam. I had 6 of them from christmas gifts. 3 worked, 3 would not work. I looked up the balance on the site, said $100. Also said card is locked due to fraud. I called, guy said the card was attempted to be used before activation. Interestingly enough, I can see the date the card was bought, the day it was activated and the day I tried to use it. The first use, which was declined, was two days after activation. The customer service rep claimed they had to be replaced they could not be fixed. So he claims he's sending replacement cards in 7-10 days. We'll see if it pans out or not. Seems like Target would at least try and vet the vendors they use....oh wait it's Target. I wouldn't shop there if they were the last store on earth.

I bought this card for online use and when I opened the card the CVV was completely scratched off. I contacted the company, but they ask for so much info I couldn't trust it. I have another MasterCard gift card, so I checked the website and they were completely different websites. The one I had from before worked, but not this one. I'm still trying to fix the problem.
