[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mastermind is one of those classic and timeless games of strategy that everyone should own. I had played it a number of years ago and loved it. I got it because I thought it would be a great way to teach my teenage son a bit about how to think strategically. We have enjoyed playing a game or two every evening after supper for the past month now and I'm glad that I decided to get it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an 11 year old daughter and she loves doing code and solving things. So this is right up her alley. She took the game and had it figured out to teach us all within 5-10 mins. It's interesting and fun and you have to really have a good strategy to play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like logic games. I had never played Mastermind before and it's a fun game. One person determines a hidden pattern using the colored pegs. Then the second person tries to guess the pattern by using the colored pegs in different combinations. After each attempt, the first person provides feedback on the pattern; for example, a white peg if the color is correct but not the position, a red peg if the color AND position are correct, and no peg if neither the color nor the position is correct. I have three kids 10 and under and they've all gotten pretty good at breaking the code within a couple of attempts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is actually pretty easy to learn. I thought it might be a bit too advanced for my children but they picked up on it right away (8 and 10 yrs old). One person is the created the code and one person tries to guess the code. The person who created the code can reveal how many correct colored pegs are in the correct spot or correct colored pegs are in the wrong spot. The other player then makes another guess based on what was learned from the previous play. The one thing I was worried about was cheating with being able to peek at the code but the peg shield can be lifted pretty high to prevent that from happening. This is the perfect game to travel since all of the pegs fit in a shelf that is tucked under the game board.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like the game Mastermind - The 2 Player Strategy Game of Codemaker vs. Codebreaker, but it is a little confusing just reading the directions. I highly recommend watching a video on youtube first to get a better understanding, but once you know how to play, it is fun. It is a strategy game (with some luck involved). It is a well made game, small is size, so you can pack it up and bring it with you and all the tiny pieces store well in the drawer. Loke i said, it does take some time to inderstand the scoring element of the game and what the red and white pegs mean, but once you understand, the game flows nicely. Good thinking game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always liked playing Mastermind. The recent "wordle" craze reminded me of this old strategy game and I was excited to play it again. I like that the pegs in the new version are safe in a drawer underneath the game board. The code peg shield is a little wonky and I preferred the old style. There's not enough key pegs included if you really want to keep score which is a little lame.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember playing this game when I was a kid and thought it was a lot of fun. The new game has convenient places to hold and store pieces. It says 8 and up but I played it with some modified rules with my 5 year old and we both had a great time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mastermind was my favorite game in my childhood! And now it's back in modern reincarnation! So now I play this fantastic game with my son, and he loves it too! The game is great! It really helps to develop strategic thinking, keeps you entertained at all times and is a pretty fast game, so there is no need to sit for hours and to figure out complex rules. Genious game!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this as a child so when I saw it again I was so excited to bring it home for my children. My 9 year old loves this game. It’s a little tricky but she’s willing to work for it. Lots of small pieces to keep track of but so far we haven’t lost any.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mastermind is a fun mental challenge, a logic puzzle game that's quick to learn but long to master. The rules are simple, so it's a great game to play at gatherings, new players pick it up quickly. It is challenging, like trying to win at chess, there are strategies to figure out as well. The game board is solidly constructed and even though there are small pieces, they are well engineered to fit nicely. My boys enjoy it thoroughly, and I'm looking forward to friendly family Mastermind competitions at the holidays.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and daughter played this game for family game night. Once we got the gist of the rules, it was so much fun. It's fairly easy to figure out how to play, and it really made you use deductive reasoning to figure out the pattern. It was a lot of fun for my competitive family members. It would probably be a little much for really young kids, unless they're good with patterns.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time trying Mastermind, codemaker vs. code breaker and it’s a really fun two-person game. We brought this camping with us and it was a great afternoon game during a rain storm. This game really makes you think and it’s hours of fun! I recommend to anyone who likes board games.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this mastermind codemaker a couple of weeks ago for my kids and they like it. This board game got their attention, very engaging, good that they use their logic breaking the codes. It is a plastic board game but good quality. Nice to play for the whole family, bonding together. I highly recommend it.
