Mate Factor Organic Yerba Mate Chai Loose Tea.

Have been drinking this stuff for years, always my favorite.

My Mom has excess acid in her stomach and she swears by this, she loves it. She claims it takes away her stomach discomfort. I like drinking it for the health benefits as well

Am a yerba mate fan and this is one of the better brands to purchase.

I love the flavor of this chai spiced tea. The only drawback is the tea is closer to a powder than a loose leaf. I enjoy the flavor of yerba mate and the chai spices make it even better. With only using a teaspoon at a time this 14 ounce package is going to last a very long time, which makes it very cost effective.

I am not sure if it is Mate factor's quality issue, or if it has been in stock too long, but the fresh grassy taste that I always liked about this mate tea was not there. It basically had little taste, reminded me of being old and stale. I am shy to buy it again, but I may try one more time, and if it is the same, that's it for me. If I buy it somewhere else and it is good, then I will contact Swanson to look into there stock, it may be out of Swanson's control, but they need to know the feedback.

I mix it with green tea. Love the aroma and spicy.

Great quality and taste, and it's super that it's not smoked, which deals with concerns some have raised about yerba mate. Also, the packaging is way, way better than some of the competitors' -- I take a bag of this when I'm traveling (for months at a time) because I don't want to be without, and the bag survives the journey!

I tried this tea when I was at the Mate Factor cafe in Ithaca, NY, and I loved it. When I saw that Swanson was handling the Mate Factor brand I was very pleasantly surprised. I made my tea in an automatic drip coffee maker and it was every bit as good as the cup I had from the cafe. I am about to purchase a French Press to make the tea and am expecting the same satisfaction with it. Mate Factor tea is a bit pricey, but I have had 4 different flavors, and they have ALL been wonderful.

This yerba mate tastes great and it is organic, so I am glad to know there are no pestisides being mixed with my antoxidants and caffeine. Nice energy buzz but without jitters!!!

Was somewhat disappointed when brewing. So finely chopped that it is hard to pass water through. My fine mesh steeper allows sediment to pass through.

This particular yerba is unique in that its not dried & aged like so many others. I find this makes the flavor more mild than other yerbas. It tastes great when prepared with a French press, but I find the flavor doesn't last as long when drinking it the traditional way with a gourd & bombilla. This would be a great place to start for those interested in trying yerba mate since its mild. I would also recommend this to seasoned yerba drinkers as something different to try. Just don't expect the flavor to last most of the day.

This loose Mate is so much more economical and yet still easy to use. I've only tried one other brand of Mate, but I prefer this fresh version over the aged type. I use it to boost my immune system, energy and overall well being.

I decided to try this tea because I like this brand and have bought their other teas on many occasions. While it had good flavor, it wasn't nearly as robust and flavorful as I expected. Was slightly disappointed by that. If you like a light tea, then this is perfect for you, however, if you want something stronger I would go with Tazo Chai Tea.

this yerba mate is potent stuff, I got a sense of wellness/euphoria when I drink a large serving, I am a bit sensitive to stuff and don't drink coffee so not sure everyone will experience the same. The chai flavor is awesome, I mix it with plain almond milk and stevia.

Years ago I'd read about the health benefits of Yerba Mate. I ordered some tea plus a gourd and silver 'straw' to drink from. I loved the gourd and straw but hated the 'looks' of the tea - rough, sticks, icky color and smell - so much that I stuffed it back into the cabinet. Just this past month I had the nerve to throw out those 2 big bags of nasty looking Yerba Mate. When I told a g/f about just throwing them out, she again extolled the health benefits and said she enjoyed drinking hers. So, I got inspired to try again and went to trusty Swanson's. Sure enough this Mate Factor ORGANIC Yerba Mate tea arrived in a brightly colored, double wrapped, reclosable package. It smells good, looks good, evenly ground tea.......but, most of all, it tastes wonderful. AND, the absolute best part is the natural energy boost I get from it has helped me stay awake during the day and I am actually slowly replacing the coffee in my life. I am very happy with this product and the 'look' of this nice packaging and product sure helped me overcome my hesitancy to partake. Alllll these years wasted because I thought all Yerba Mate tea was nothing but a dirty bag of sticks and brownish leaves. Actually, after reading more about YM tea, the type used in South America probably looks very much like what I originally received.... as they talk about using the Bombilla stick to moved the leaves around in the bottom of the gourd. I must try my new ORGANIC YM tea in the beautiful, hand-carved gourd I've been saving. Hope you all get a good laff from my insecurities. Happy YM drinking! - Oh, PS - the only slightly negative aspect of this wonderful tea is that I've taken a while to figure out how much tea to put into my brew ball to get the right intensity of flavor. I've pretty much settled on 1 coffee scoop of tea leaves for about 6 cups of water in my old coffee carafe and I allow it to steep on low for quite a while.
