submitted byVerna - 1 year agoTarget staff supportA: Obviously Target support misunderstood what you asked since an 11"x14" photo would not fit in this 8"x10" mat. My guess is the opening is 7.5" x 9.5" which is typical to allow 1/4" overlap per side.

submitted byKevin - 2 years agoTarget staff supportA: For those of you that LOVE these frames like me! TIP: Remove backing, gently slide a piece of paper or papertowel between glass and mat. Also tapping the frame. I was able to remove 99% of "sawdust".

I wish I read the reviews before purchasing. The frame looks beautiful, but there are so many issues with it. The mat is hot glued in for some reason and cannot be removed. The biggest issue with this is the frames came with black specs all over the inside (likely from the wood frame). The specs are all over the inside of the mat and since you can’t remove the mat, it’s impossible to clean. The frames are also poorly made - flimsy. Very disappointed. Don’t waste your money.

This is the most disappointing thing I’ve ever purchased from Target. The frame looks fantastic, but that’s the end of the good qualities. I had intended to use the frame with a piece of art without the mat. You may already know that the mat can’t be removed though. Also, you can’t remove or replace the glass! If it’s ever chipped or broken, you have to throw away the frame. My frame came with glass that was chipped. My initial thought was to simply replace it myself, but realizing there’s no way to do that infuriated me! I have some frames that are over one hundred years old and they’ve lasted that long because they didn’t become obsolete if the glass was broken. This frame can’t be repaired in any way or used in any way other than the way Target demands. Simply the most disappointing design and purchase ever.

These frames looked like they would be beautiful but they do not hold up on the wall. I bought 4 of the large 16x20 size frames. 1 of the 4 broke before I even hung it up but I went ahead and bought a replacement and tried again anyways. After only 1 week of hanging on the wall, they are completely buckling at the top and the plexiglass is popping out. I hung them using 2 hooks to spread out the weight. I am very disappointed. I will be returning.

I really wanted this to work - so much so that I bought a second frame in the hopes that I didnt have the same issue. Unfortunately, as another review mentioned, both frames came in the mail with brown flecks trapped between the glass and the unremovable mat. For that reason, I've had to return them. If the mat was removable, this would be a simple fix, I feel.
