submitted byKevin - 3 years agoTarget staff supportA: For those of you that LOVE these frames like me! TIP: Remove backing, gently slide a piece of paper or papertowel between glass and mat. Also tapping the frame. I was able to remove 99% of "sawdust".

submitted byVerna - 2 years agoTarget staff supportA: Obviously Target support misunderstood what you asked since an 11"x14" photo would not fit in this 8"x10" mat. My guess is the opening is 7.5" x 9.5" which is typical to allow 1/4" overlap per side.

These frames would be the perfect addition to any home OF ONLY YOU CPULD REMOVE THE MAT!!! Why? Why do this??? Dust and debris in front of the mat is impossible to clean/remove. You can’t use anything wet (glass cleaner) to clean the inside of the glass be aide it could ruin the edges of the mat. The frame is beautiful. The functionality is trash. Returned.

I never really write product reviews but wanted to share with potential buyers because nowhere in the title or the description online does it state that this mat is not removable. I was looking for a 16x20 frame for a 16x20 photo and ordered this one. Because the mat cannot be seperated from the glass, I can't use this frame now.

These frames are cute, but they aren’t the BEST quality. The matte is hot glued inside the frame and they seem on the flimsy side. I do like them on my wall and will keep them, just be mindful they are less quality than other target frames.

I like how the frame looks, but I cannot recommend purchase due to major design issues. The frame is not actually a standard size, the interior is slightly less than 16x20 which means you may have to trim your print to fit it in the frame. Second, the matting is not removable which limits framing options. Third, there is a lot of debris and dust in the frame; this is a big issue because the matting cannot be removed, and therefore it's very hard to clean out.

There was dirt or other black specks in between the non-removable matting and the glass. It could not be cleaned in any way. Interior of frame measures 15x19 inches, not 16x20.

The wood tone on the actual frame is beautiful but the mat is non removable and comes filled with cardboard dust. Therefore, between the beige mat and glass you have dust flecks that cannot be cleaned off. Wish the mat was removeable. This happened on 2 frames.

Not worth the money! Purchased on sale with delivery. All 3 had either a cracked corner or black marks on the “non-removable” mat. Went to exchange for better ones in the store once they had inventory and since the sale was over, I would have to pay full price to not have damaged ones. You have to return the damaged, to purchase new ones. Ridiculous! Just exchange them Target!

Looks nice from a distance but there is quite a bit of debris (paper shavings?) between the glass and the mat, which is not removable, so there isn’t any way to clean it up. Wouldn’t recommend unless you can inspect in store.

This frame is beautiful, I feel dumb that I waited so long for the walnut to come back in stock and didn’t read that the mat was NOT removable. I honestly think it’s because it’s too flimsy it needs the cardboard to support it. I am returning them as I had already printed my pictures in 16x20. Which honestly I think the frame is a little smaller than that even if you could remove the mat. As others have said mine also has black dust between the mat and glass that you can’t clean.

This frame was packed in a GIANT box without any wrapping and arrive shattered. Now I have to deal with a pile of broken glass, and deconstructing and recycling a huge box. Horrible experience - do NOT order frames from Target.

The only thing this frame had going for it is the look. It's beautiful and perfect... EXCEPT that the mat isn't removable. I just don't get it. WHY would you make a frame with a mat that isn't removable?! That isn't helpful to the design. I need a true 16x20, and even if I didn't you should be able to take a frame apart to clean it. I should've scrolled down to read the details of the item, because it does clearly say it, I just didn't because I assumed it'd be like most other frames with mats. It'd be removable. What a waste of time and money! And I can't find anything else as cute. I'm very disappointed, and I will be returning.
