All Max & Lily products use a durable, low VOC finish. The slatted head and footboards and flush, color-matched hardware give this bunk bed a clean, modern look. Instructions, upper/lower slat rolls, and required hardware are included. With solid plywood slats and a metal support bar for the top bunk, each sleeping surface can support 400 pounds of resting weight.     Full over full bunk beds

    I ordered this bunk bed set to accommodate my teenage son’s bedroom and give them more floor space . I ordered because of the higher resting weight limit . I’ve had the beds for almost a year now and a couple of things I found was the wood is very soft and gets marked up very easily, I’ve also noticed that although it says it’s good for a resting weight of 400 , it doesn’t realistically seem like it would hold up well long term to higher weights . I read some comments that people reinforced the structure so I may try that

    Overall, this is a great

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a great bed for our kids. Putting it together came with a few frustrations, but it's similar to ikea construction, so that wasn't surprising. It's lightweight but still feels sturdy. It's soft pine, so it already has a few minor scratches (and bite marks from my toddler). The ladder is removable, which is a plus for us so we can take it off during the day to prevent my youngest from climbing to the top bunk. We have an 8" mattress, so it's too tall for an adult to sit upright comfortably, but I've slept on the bottom bed with my son and it's plenty strong. I can see this bed lasting through my kids' childhood, so for the price, I think you can't beat the value.

The only issue I had was receiving the bed in two shipments, a couple of weeks apart. We didn't know this so we opened one box only to realize that it wasn't all the pieces and we had already took out the old bed. That was kind of annoying. Also, the tracking was not accurate. It came a lot later than it said.

    Great bed, but a little shaky

    The bed is straight forward to assemble and it looks great. I bought the bed for the high weight capacity so that an adult can lay down on the bed while helping a child to fall asleep. I added bunkie boards because the boards are too far apart we're using foam mattresses. My only complaint is that the bed is a little shaky. My 8 year old is sleeping on the top bunk, so nowhere near the weight capacity, and every time he moves the bed shakes. I'm going to need to add some 2x4s to make it more sturdy.

    Happy Grandma

    The bed is perfect for our needs. It was bought for our granddaughters when they come to stay. The bed is sturdy and nice looking. It was a fun piece to put together. I would recommend this bunk bed frame.

    Cottage bunks.

    The beds are very sturdy. Not too difficult to put together. I bought 4 total, they are absolutely stunning. My teenage grandkids all love bringing there friends to the cottage. Now we have plenty of beds and no more mattresses and sleeping bags on the floor.
