A: I have this mattress protector on my daughters bed for the same reason (in case of a puppy accident). It really is waterproof and a much better quality then the vinyl ones. It does have a more fabric like feel and while it is waterproof, a spill or accident cannot be simply wiped off and it needs to be laundered, which can be a pain, especially if on a larger bed.
A: It tears super easily, also only ONE side is waterproof. Drying it will melt it. It is also way too big and will cause bunching up under you while you sleep.
A: No, it is not waterproof.
A: Yes, but don't get it. It's way too large, but it is basically a plastic like tissue. I put it on with the care of pantyhose and set it down like a baby. I still had holes and tears from it touching the frame, the mattress, basically anything. It also does NOT protect you from bugs (per 2 different professionals that checked it on the bed) It is NOT BED BUG CERTIFIED!!!
A: It will be baggy because a box spring is not as thick as a mattress, but if you are looking for just protection and plan on using a bed skirt to go over it then it should be fine.
A: Hello, Yes, this will fit a box spring. Most of the time the box spring is not as thick/deep as a mattress so the encasement may be loose on the box spring. If you tuck the extra fabric under the mattress to give it a better appearance without affecting the performance. I hope this answers your question.
A: The Ultimate is also temperature balancing.
A: Added fabric engineering is the difference.
A: Hello Lori, this protector is intended for use on the mattress alone. Hope that helps! Thank you for your question.
A: Hi curious, only the top of this protector is waterproof. Thanks for your question.
A: Hi Kt, this protector has not been tested for blocking fiberglass.
A: Hello Drsmngld, this is a zippered protector which fully encases your mattress.
A: Hi traininvain, we would recommend using this under your heated mattress pad on low heat.
A: Hi Rainy, this would likely be dependent on the depth of the box spring. Even with the extra length on the Twin XL it might not accommodate your box springs.
A: Hi ZZ, the top of this protector is 88% Polyester, 12% Nylon and backed by a waterproof laminate. Thanks for your question
