Great Boot for Alaska
Bought boot couple of years ago, reminder of a better SOREL and more affordable. I wear these Snowmaking in Alaska 7 12hr shifts. I sized up to wear bamma booties with to add insulation as well wick moisture from socks. Incredible work boot, wearing xtra tuff boots for 33yrs in fisheries, and now after 27ys snowmaking I found what I feel the best boot for Alaska winter. Constructed and Durability is great, I have waited to review because I wanted to accurately access. My work is abusive to foot wear and these boots hold up. Traction is normal to Xtratuff, good in snow. Bootskis well😁

Not the Xtrutuf quality I knew and loved.
About 6 years ago, I bought a pare of 15" legacy boots, and wore them almost every day for 5 years. Two years ago I moved from Alaska to Chicago and last year, my Legacy boots were robbed from me. Yes, even the criminals know xtratufs are good footwear. I bought these Legacy Lace boots shortly after to replace my old ones. Within the first month, the fake leather started peeling off. About 2 months after getting them, I tried them out in water, and both boots leaked in the sole area. I was very disappointed, but it was to late to replace them. Now they sit in my closet in shame, because I spent to much money on them. I really should just toss them:/ Just got up and tossed them by the way. It needed to happen.

Comfy, warm, waterproof.
Boots are super comfy. Wore in 8+ inches of snow and ice while it was 10 degrees outside. Kept my feet dry, warm, and happy. No break-in period required. They grip really good too. Best to wear these when it is 32 degrees or below, otherwise my feet will be too warm. I was between size 11 and 12 on the size chart and have narrow feet. Ordered size 12. They are probably a bit large but they are not too loose. I'd be curious to wear a size 11 to see what those would feel like.

Warm with a minor flaw
Warm with a minor flaw, the insulation meets right around the ankle leading to pressure while walking in the boot

Perfect for Fall/Winter party boat fishing in NE
Worn on a 13hrs winter sea bass fishing on a party boat in 30 degree temp. The pair kept my feet warm, dry and comfortable in cold, wet conditions. Didn’t have to worry about getting them dirty with bait juice, fish blood as clean up was easy. Love them.

Needs a better tongue and quality control.
I really wanted to give this shoe a great review. I bought it a couple months before a hunt, so a return wasn't possible. The first thing you should know is that the tongue and the upper part of the boot aren't connected past the top eyelet. So any water that goes up beyond that is going in your foot. The other issue is that on the first day out, the leather connecting the tongue to the boot ripped. So it was basically an insulated leather sneaker at that point. I love my xtratuff rubber boots and I love the sole, but these shoes were poorly thought out and have serious quality control standards. They are still good for a cold dry hike, but that isn't what I bought them for.

Do Not Buy Xtratuf quality is lacking in this pair
My husband wore these boots on a 20-minute walk and got a huge blister on his heel. They are absolute garbage. I would give them zero stars if I could. There is a problem where the boot seams come together in the heel. Do not waste your time with these boots. It was only in one boot, not both. Now to deal with the hassle of a return.

Look at my new boots🤩
I absolutely love my lace up xtratuf insulated boots! I am actually wearing them right now. After wearing their boots for over 20 years on the back deck of a fishing boat in Alaska, the Alaskan tennis shoe. I had no idea then that they made lace ups. I have worn them everyday since I got them, my new ranch boots here in N.Central Washington.

A Perfect Transaction Satisfaction
I bought these for reasturant dishwashing, line cooking and prep cooking. The floor at my job is ALWAYS wet. Then, after we close, we do the floors by throwing buckets of MORE water all over. So, I was looking for a comfortable boot that would somewhat keep my feet dry and enable me to move fast in my work environment. These boots did the job. They are super comfortable "right off the bat". There was no "breaking them in" time at all. Also, they kept my feet dry most of the time. As far as slip resistant, I give them 5 stars. I could and did run across the kitchen and cooler floors without slipping{and I run fast}. I am extremely active at work so the "wear and tear" on all my boots are probrably shorter than the average consumer. However, these did well considering all that I put them through.

Well made, comfortable, but heavy
These boots appear to be very well made. They are comfortable, but quite heavy, compared to the regular xtratuf boots. Their weight makes it a bit difficult walking any distance. Otherwise, I like them.

Great Boots
These boots keep my son’s feet warm and dry in the snow with temperatures in the negative teens, as he walks to and from his university in SE Idaho. He is extremely happy with the quality and comfort of them. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Uncomfortable
These boots are very uncomfortable. There is a ridge inside where the rubber meets the leather. I wore them for about 5 minutes and knew it would be a problem.

For demanding tuf "real work" in wet muddy slop..
Pics with this review are a pair bought Jan 16 2023, a year & 5 days before this post. Used on a construction job of a pair of apartment buildings, double-digit multi-story, actually a complex complete with ground floor level retail spaces also, a large commercial project, spanning a 5-year overall schedule. Lots of mud, slop, gravel, concrete slurry, gooey drywall joint compound, paint, foam, fire caulking, I could go on & on. One of the pics shows a slice/cut a boot endured from a sideswipe of jagged sheetmetal. Amazingly, despite that, as long as not completely submerged in standing ankle-deep water that area was still 90+% water resistant/repellant. Unknown to me beforehand I discovered that the boot upper under the exterior rubber also has an inner liner that is fairly strong, and adds an extra layer that was usually just enough for most circumstances. Fact is.... I should have replaced these months & months ago, but they've held up so well, despite that one unfortunate incident (not the boot's fault, 100% mine). Know in advance these are not crosstrainers or made to simply be prepared for an occasional rain shower or shoveling snow. These are heavy, the soles are thick, and they don't bend much or break in much around ankles the way regular suede leather workboots or hiking boots do. If you are willing to accept that, and expect to be in a wet/muddy sloppy workplace or similar dirty area for an extended or prolonged amount of time then these boots are at the level of ruggedness and durability you need as opposed to local hardware store cheap rubber boots only made for light duty every once in a while, like washing your car or watering your yard with a garden hose etc. For "real work" these will handle just about anything you do (with the exception being that they are rubber can't handle abrasions or cuts from jagged edges, but then again, even leather can get cut too, but leather is not even in the same league as these for wet damp nasty sloppy other......)

Great boot
Great boots! Yes the leather on the uppers do rub your ankle a bit when first bought but I’m use to that wearing custom boots such as franks, nicks, whites. I also have muck boots and Hoffman boots they are also great but I like these cause there on the smaller side and don’t go half way up my shin. Would purchase again👍👍

For when your boots need to work as hard as you do
After 15 years in the field, working in 12 of our 50 states, in all types of weather and terrain I've broken bones, had surgeries, and bad sprains all to my feet and lower legs. THESE BOOTS are EXACTLY what I need for when I: need to fit a brace into one boot, when I need thicker socks, or if I need to tighten down my boots around compression or hiking socks- THEY DO IT ALL! I highly recommend them to anyone who is serious about their foot care and need their boots to work as hard as they do.

Extremely painful to wear
I’ve had these boots since last year and I’ve worn them all year through two hunting seasons. I got them as hunting boots, but due to the liner being so thin, where the leather seam is at the ankle it rubs and is ridiculously painful. I have to put 3 layers of moleskin inside on the heel to prevent blisters and I have to change it out every couple months. These haven’t kept my feet very warm either. I’ve always bought xtratuf boots and loved them so these were a let down :(
