The assembly instructions are weak. The performance of the saw is very good. Light weight is a plus.

First miter saw I’ve purchased that was set up perfectly right out of the box. I have bought other much more expensive than this one that were not even close to being accurate without going through and making every adjustment. Plenty of power to cut anything within its capacities and the blade provided.

Thought I was done needing a miter saw so I passed my Rigid 10” on to my son. A year or two later I found I really could use a mitersaw for projects around the house. The price for saws of brands like Rigid, Dewalt, Milwaukee, etc. were beyond what I could justify, price wise these days. An internet search turned up the Metabo 10 inch miter saw. Never heard of them, but the price was right and I thought I’d take a chance with them. To my surprise the saw was a quality piece, well made, solid and accurate right out of the box. A pleasant surprise. And the price was right.

love it but they make it expensive to get the one accessory, which should just be included. You cannot even buy it from them; you have to go to outside companies and the cost of this one ridiculous part runs about 2/3rd of the cost of the saw.
Works better than expected

Works great for an inexpensive saw! In fact, it worked better! I was not expecting much for the price but needed somethingquicktocompletea project. It did absolutely everything I needed...no problems whatsoever. I look forward to using on other projects in the future.

Appears to be a very nice saw for the typical home owner. Light weight, so I had to lag it down on my miter cart. Cutting thru 2x4s works great, haven't had a chance to really put it to work. I'm sure it will hold up for a long time. This saw replaced my 25 year old heavy Delta compound miter saw, unfortunately it fell off my cart. The new miter saw was priced just right...

Saw works very well I like the extra features like the vise to hold down large pieces ,the sub fence and the carry handle is very useful. I haven’t used the spindle lock yet but I’m sure it will come in handy.

I bought this saw a month ago because the previous miter saw i had just died after 15+ years of heavy use and i was on the hunt i have other metabo power tools and they preform beautifully and this saw is no exception comfortable to use powerful motor, crisp clean smooth cuts, not too heavy, small enough to tuck away and light enough to bring along for a quick weekend project....an awesome buy i.m.o

I bought this saw to replace one that died on me after years of service. It's a little different...But better! Easy to get to the desired angle and improved safety. I'll consider Metabo tools when the need arises.

I bought this 10" miter saw after my old skil saw went out on me. Since the metabo hpt 12" miter saw has lived up to its name since I bought it a couple years ago I decided to go with the 10" miter saw/ This saw has been a really nice portable miter saw that we uses for trim work for my metal building business. It small which I like but packs a great punch and was accurate right out of the box. It has been a very reliable saw that is my go to for small trim work.

Not as good a Hitachi

While I would love to give this miter saw a great review, I simply can't. I purchased it because I was so used to the Hitachi version which has lasted me a good 13+ years. I've had this saw for less than a year, and have only used it a handful of times on 3/4'' pine boards to build birdhouses and the motor is already beginning to fail. Everything I use it there is a strong burning scent and crackling noises coming from the motor. The motor gets very hot and dies out. I'm currently debating on getting it fixed or just going with a different brand all together.
