Gummy textured tortillas

I really dislike these because they are gummy and sticky in my mouth. The flavor is also not good to my taste. I have tried to like these and bought 3 times, because I need gluten free and the almond flour tortillas are no longer available. But no matter what I do to them like heat them, roll them, make wraps, etc, they are just awful for me. I will not buy them again. I really liked the texture of the other gluten free almond tortillas much, much better.

I recently tried the Mission Gluten Free Tortilla Wraps, and they’ve quickly become a go-to in my kitchen. As someone who avoids gluten, it’s hard to find tortillas that taste good and hold up well, but these surprised me. They’re soft, have a great flavor, and work really well for tacos, wraps, and quesadillas. When lightly heated in a pan, they become even more flexible and delicious. One thing to note is that they can be a little delicate—if you overload them or skip the warming step, they might tear or feel slightly sticky. But with a quick toast on the skillet, they hold together much better. The texture isn’t exactly the same as a traditional flour tortilla, but it’s pretty close, and definitely one of the best I’ve found in the gluten-free category. Overall, I’d highly recommend these if you’re looking for a gluten-free tortilla that actually tastes good and feels satisfying. They’re easy to find at most grocery stores, and they’ve made it a lot more enjoyable to stick to a gluten-free lifestyle without giving up tacos or wraps.

These are by far the best gf wraps I’ve tried! They don’t fall apart while eating and hold up perfectly! These are the closest to normal wraps that I’ve been able to find!
Some batches may need to be recalled.

These need to be checked for gluten. I bought them today after many times before. I was sick for the first time in 2 1/2 years and had the normal allergic reaction I’ve had before. This bag tasted different and they were powdery.

I truly can’t express how much I love these wraps! I’ve been gluten-free for over 20 years, and this has consistently been my go-to choice. I’ve tried other wraps, but nothing compares to this. I love making burritos, wraps, tacos and quesadillas, they hold up great and taste amazing! They also have different size wraps the small taco corn is just as good.

I love lavash, especially in the morning. The quality of the product is very good, odorless, without any sharpness. That's just it. The quality of the product is not the most important thing.

My husband really liked these. I usually buy the green ones but tried these instead. They are soft and I used them for enchiladas. They worked fine and he said they were really good. Gluten-free doesn’t have to taste bad!! And he says he approves of these. The reviews are mixed so I say try them for yourself.

These wraps used to be SO good. They were soft and didn't fall apart, and then you changed them. The normal bait and switch once companies get people hooked on a good product. They are now like trying to eat notebook paper, so thanks for that. I threw the packages into the trash.

I was very excited to find a gluten free tortilla at last, however, after I purchased it and got it home, I realized it contains sucralose. Sucralose is a product that I avoid as it causes problems with the gut biome. I don’t understand why you need to include such an inferior sweetener that is detrimental to health in this product. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing it again.

Always stuck together in the packaging. You have to search around for a pack at the store that isn’t smooshed. Today was the worst, 4 out of 6 were ripped up. You can’t eat as is, it has to be cooked or it sticks to the roof of your mouth and falls apart. Also when I clicked a low review a number to call showed up but it was cut off so they don’t even care.

Gluten Reaction to Mission's GF Tortillas

Midnight Pains - 10 months ago

I just purchased these yesterday after work, made a quesadilla for dinner and then had a painful gluten reaction that went into the morning (of course this will take 3 days to clear entirely). This bag has "Gluten Free" written in large font along the side, which is why I trusted it, but this large size is not a corn tortilla. I looked at the ingredients and in addition to rice and tapioca flour, Mission lists "Modified Food Starch" but doesn't indicate from what (from wheat flour?). I suspect there is contamination going on here and either wheat based food starch or wheat contaminated ingredients are being used (for example if the rice flour mill also mills wheat).

I have been gluten free for over 40 years. I have tried every gluten-free tortilla that I can find. Every time a new one comes out. I try it. Nothing beats The taste and texture of Mission gluten-free tortillas. My only complaint would be that they fall apart very easily if you try to fold them into a burrito or really tried to fold them into anything. They just kind of split and crack. That is a small price to pay for the taste and texture.
