This light is gorgeous, I love that it's glass and not plastic, it adds so much sophistication. The brass knob is also gorgeous! As other reviews have stated, you do have to do some manual adjusting to get it to be flush with the ceiling, but that was easy enough. It definitely goes with our midcentury modern style.

Great light for the hallway - I actually bought two of these. I like the simplicity of them. I wanted something simple and calm to go with the glitzy/glamorous entry and laundry room lights I also ordered - these for the bill perfectly

I purchased three to update 20 year old fixtures. The look is clean & modern. Installation was fairly simple however, we had to make some adjustments to make sure we had a tight fit on the ceiling.

I purchased this light for my small living room. It arrived nestled in styrofoam and was well protected. The image shown is how it looks in real life. My reason for giving 4 stars is the lack of instructions. The only thing provided was a mounting diagram which didn't mention that the two canopy (base) mounting screws (which were already installed) would need to be adjusted prior to installing the canopy. It took quite a bit of wrestling and maneuvering to get the holes in the canopy and its backing insulation lined up over the mounting screws. Once I finally did and screwed on the mounting nuts, the canopy was not flush with the ceiling, which meant when the shade was mounted, it wasn't flush either. Because the nuts were the round, closed decorative type, they couldn't be screwed in any further. I was unwilling to go through the hassle of taking the canopy down to adjust the screws. The quick fix I figured out for this was to replace the closed nuts with open nuts that could be screwed as far up on the screws as necessary. Not sure why this type of nut wasn't included to begin with. Once I made this switch, I was easily able to get the canopy flush with the ceiling.
