This necklace set is actually two necklaces (the paperclip chain and the 3 shorter ones) so that they can be worn separately or layered together as shown here. I've been wearing the paperclip chain by itself for more of a simple look and adding the 3 shorter, sparkly, layered necklaces to dress it up. The only down-side is that they do get pretty tangled, they looks absolutely gorgeous on but I need to be sure to untangle them throughout the night - but even then they still look gorg!
