I love this set of mixing bowls, the red one is large enough for big meals and the smallest is perfect for dipping sauces, and the sizes in between all seem to be perfect for one thing or another. Bought two sets and will probably buy another just bc I like them that much!

I had this set of bowls for years, had a kitchen fire, and could not recall where I bought them. My husband is dead seven years now and we brought food in these to several parties as well as used them at our family parties. So I would say I am going back at least 10 years, The only difference was that the 2nd largest bowl was dark blue and the smallest bowl was orange. Otherwise the colors are identical. These were nice for bringing places because if you somehow lost a bowl you were not out that much. Anyway, wanted another set after the fire and found them here at Target where I am sure that I bought them. I have no dishwasher and never microwaved in them as I knew you were not supposed to and mine still looked brand new. I never did use them with beaters as I have other bowls for that but used them for chips, pretzels, and various salads. I did not get any scratches in mine but I think I did use plastic serving spoons with them. The reviews that say chips come off if you use beaters are scary. The color shades are all the same except no dark blue but a new pink. The colors coordinate well with birthday party decorations. You cannot go wrong with these if you need an inexpensive set of bowls that are light and look nice. We never managed to break even one so I consider tham to be quite sturdy. Also great for outdoor entertaining.

I like the colors and the variety of sizes. Sometimes I use the green one for salads. But for baking/cooking these are not ideal and there are better out there. First, they slip around constantly if I am using my hand mixer. The hand mixer also seems like it is going to scape the bowls. Also, they have this ridge down in the bottom and it allows food remnants not not mix in well. These got a lot of use from me but it’s time to upgrade with some that won’t slip and better quality plastic.

These are my favorite mixing bowls. I drop things a lot so these help make cooking/ baking less frustrating. I drop them less because they are so light. They also are very easy to clean. I also use them to store food in the fridge with plastic wrap on top. Plus, the fun colors are nice. Get these!

I use the biggest size recently to mix cake batter, and the bowl was peeling off tiny bits of it into my mix, and I was trying to figure out what was red in my food, until I realized it's the now that is being scratched up by my hand mixer, which means the now isn't safe. Unless you're using silicone or plastic items to mix in it.
