Okay beer
This is a darker beer, if you like the original and darker beer you’ll like this. I personally do not enjoy modelo original which is why i have to pass on this one

Great after work beer
Great beer for after a day working outside in the sun. The alcohol content is nice and light so you don't accidentally over-do it if you've been sweating in the heat. Nice light flavor and classic label. Goes down smooth.

Not bitter
I'll start by saying I am NOT a beer person. However, I actually enjoy the taste of this beer! It's not at all bitter, it has a good taste to it, not too overpowering like others out there. The bottle makes for a good social media post, too!

Delicious alcohol drink
I like the smooth finish Modelo Negra has. Its packing is pretty and fancy. It’s a good price too. It has 5.4 alcohol. After a long day I like to refresh my inner self with this.

Negra Modelo used to be a "Dark cream ale". As in "LA crema de la cerveza". Now it's a brown lager that is not the same. You ruined one of mexicos best exports!!

Good beer, lousy packaging!
I’ve had Modelo Negra in restaurants, but never brought any home until now. I HATE your gold foil wrap on the bottle cap! It cannot be peeled off. I like to drink straight from the bottle, but my attempt at foil removal left bits of foil all over my counter top and beer bottle! Lose the foil!

A wonderful beer for those looking for a nice entry to the world of beer.
I have not had any other Modelo products before, but if they are as good as this one, I'd love to try them. In the era of ipas and overly hoppy beers, this is one of the refreshing exceptions. It has a nice, easy flavor, that tastes wonderful and has a pleasant aftertaste. It has a sharp finish and is a lighter beer, which isn't to my tastes, but that's personal preference. If you are looking for a refreshing beer that's not too hoppy, give it a try!

What happened to negra Modelo?
I've enjoyed Negra Modelo for years, but I have to ask, have you "lightened" this beer over the years? It seems more like an amber beer, with less flavor and color.
