The is growth but...
I saw these on sale and decided to try them out. I am in no way a gardener or have a green thumb. I did what the instructions say and did get results from the two that I bought. HOWEVER, only one seed grew to spout from Sunflower and 2 in Lavender. That being said, it may be a good idea to use other seeds from other brand as the ones provided may not grow.

Hreat little plant!
I purchased the lavender jar in May 2025, it’s now Jan. 2026 and it’s still growing. It did take quite a while to germinate, but since then it has done well. I keep it in a sunny window in my kitchen.

Waste of money
They never grew. I followed the directions to a T and nothing happened. The rocks now have white fuzz on them which I assume is mold. They are unfortunately going in the trash. Waste of money.

It’s been 4 days as of Friday and nothing sprouted.. I both the lavender one and was so excited for it so hoping it needs more time? If not then I guess I paid $10 for cute jar 😑

Flowers in a jar

I didn't notice the fill line on the side of the jar, so I didn't fill it with enough water. Had I seen it, this would've worked very well. I've grown seedlings this way, so that's how I know.

Fun and easy project

I can’t help but think what a great gift this would be for a kid. They can watch it grow and observe how plants respond to light. I keep it in the window while it’s growing, but eventually I plan to put it on the countertop.

I am in love with these mason jars and the fact that they grow herbs indoor and quickly at that. I did give them a 4 star rating only because the mason jars advertised shows “Frosted Mason jars engraved with the name of the herb that grows”. The one I received actually comes with a plain frosted jar and a yellow paper label “SUNFLOWER” on it. Not as cute. Other than than those discrepancies they grow and they are adorable! I will be purchasing the whole series (if you’ll call them that) And I definitely recommend!

If you misplace the instructions you might be a bit screwed, haven't found any instructions online either for this one. It did end up sprouting though.. hopefully it continues to grow
