Peace of mind device

Terrible device
Randomly shuts off water to the house , did not shut off water when we had a leak. Poor functionality of the Moen app (app shows water is on when device has shut off the water). A royal pain and wish I’d never installed it.

Comfort and safety while we’re away.
We experienced a flood in our house because of a toilet malfunction while we were away. If we had had a Moen Flo device on our mainline the water would have been turned off within 10 minutes instead of running for nine days.

Flo helped me avoid a costly event
I’m using Flo to monitor my water usage. It identified a leak during my absence.Fortunately I was able to turn off my water supply line until I returned. The culprit was a toilet tank gasket.

Easy to install and great APP!
Great app allowed me to find unknown leaks and cut water usage in half. I recently added their irrigation controller which is also has a great interface in the same app. I was using rainbird and their WiFi irrigation contoller cannot compare to Moen! Very happy with Moen, I will continue to buy their products as they are easy to install and they have great app software.

does not work. what happens if i have a leak?
not sure it is working correctly. It has shown for the last month that i have not used even 1 gallon of water. I went through alot of hassle and cost getting this installed and does not work.

What is Worse Than a Cold Shower?
We have had the device installed for about six weeks, mandated by our homeowner's insurance. The concept is great! After a week in "learning" mode the device switched into active mode. Six times, so far, the device has detected a "leak" and turned off the water. Yet, it was just someone in the shower. Being in the shower when the water turns off is a BAD experience. I don't have any way of making the device not do this.

Moen Flo Shutoff
So far, so good with my Moen Flo Smart Water Monitor & Shutoff. I installed a pressure reducing valve because my house pressure was near 90 psi and the literature says this should operate under 80. My pressure is now a bit above 60 and the unit seems to be operating fine. Pressure throughout the house is still great. I had it installed with a bypass just in case I have problems with it since I don't know of anyone who has this. Seems like a great product. It's been installed since August 25, 2025 and no issues.

Yes what I needed
I know this might sound like a small thing, but for me, the details matter. Having the Moen whole-house water shutoff valve gives me real peace of mind. Before installing it, if a pipe burst while we were away, we might not have known until thousands of gallons had flooded the basement. Now, I can check remotely and know for sure that everything is okay. If something happens, the system will catch it early — we might be dealing with 30 gallons of water, not 6,000. That ability to confirm our home isn’t flooding while we’re out means a lot. It’s one less big “what if” to worry about.
