I have them mounted on the patio. Excellent sound for the size and price including the bass. I definitely recommend!

I went the extra effort of building a wooding box around them, which we all know that speakers sound better in a box, and they sound top notch in my Atmos setup.

As a sound engineer, the overall audio quality is VERY important to me and my ears! I tried these after first auditioning a couple of larger brand units (that were 2-3 times the cost of these). Hands down these won with MUCH better dynamic range, good presence across the board (no muffled vocals or muddy dynamics). We listen to alot of dance music, and the bass response is excellent, and the high end has plenty of room. They can push out a fair amount of volume for the unit wattage and will fill a room without issues. Build quality is good, even survived a drop from 5ft onto a countertop. Would highly recommend. We paired these with a few old AV Component amps and installed the Monoprice in wall rotary volume control, which also works great if you want to run more than one zone from the same amp.

Bass rolls off at 80hz, I measured it myself. Sounds horrible and because the cutout is so big i can’t replace it without new drywall and paint. My portable Bluetooth speaker with 2.5on drivers has more bass than this thing. I fixed it somewhat by buying a graphic equalizer and boosting 30-80Hz by 10dB to extend it maybe to 50Hz. Yes I tried changing the cavity size from fully open (attic) to smaller, using insulation. It didn’t do much.

These are great speakers for a mid to upper range receiver

speakers which cost 2x to 3x this amount. These speakers are awesome, I hooked up to a new sonos amp and the old (name brand) speakers in my house weren't able to keep up, but these do the job well with little distortion. Other reviews, judged the quality based on a lack of bass. IMO, all in ceiling speakers would require some sort of subwoofer if you are looking to have the walls vibrate with bass. Just look at most soundbar sold today, subwoofers are standard add-on. In my application, they have enough bass (I used the 8inch version) and delivery quality sound, both at high volume and low.

Decent speaker. Doubt you can get any better for the price. Vocals are little dull but I am using for surround and Atmos so fit the bill just right for me.

Nice upgrade from the 4104 speaker. We installed in the matching cans with some foam insulation, and remove the ports. It was disappointing that it was not a drop in replacement. We had to enlarge the existing ceiling speaker holes. Compared to the 4104 speaker (with no can/box) the bass response is similar but the highs are noticeably improved. A pair of these with a small sub would make a nice little 2.1 system. Note, the speakers do improve after a couple of days of break in.

Alpha speakers are great. They are quality sound with a full range. I went with 3 angled fronts and 4 down speakers. All are Alpha series 8" speakers. These were paired with 2 Monoprice 12" powered subs (Product # 9723). My living room is as good as a movie theater with this 7.2 setup. RIP my neighbors ears. :P

I have not installed these speakers yet but they will be going in my game room over my pool table. The look good but I haven't used them yet.

What a bargain. These sould absolutely great as surround sound speakers, and really good by themselves.

I've always shied away from in-wall/ceiling speakers, but I was blown away by the sound. I installed these in a room where there was no other solution. the ability to aim the tweeters towards the listening position really helps the sound quality. Are in ceiling speakers ideal? Not at all. However, these sound fantastic, better than other brands at a much higher price that I've listened too.
