Looked Ok , Very Heavy ( because of lower cost ash ) and well this was the main surprise ... the FRET ENDS were as if somebody in the factory just decided to clip them off ! The word is 'ragged ' ends Man , it took me 81/2 hours to get 'em filed !! Very sloppy fret ends I mean seriously , ya'll need to watch this in your factory !! Take a look at the SQUIER models and you will see for yourselves...

No quality control on this one. First guitar I bought from mono (a tele style) was great. This one had an uneven seam where the wood was joined to make the body. The frets were crazy sharp, would cut you if not careful. Didn't bother to plug it in or tune it, immediately returned it. Monoprice did refund quickly, they stand behind their guarantee.
Still a great deal at the DLX price

These have the upgraded wood, Pickups, and bridge. Not sure if a real game changer, as the standard ones have been outstanding. But what other guitar out there has these features at these prices. I do recomend these, but all the others I have bought as well.

Where to start. The guitar arrived with a dime sized chunk of paint at the bottom of the body flaked off down to bare wood and the wood underneath splintered. Half of the back of the neck hadn't been finish sanded on the treble side before the matte finish was applied and was rougher than an unsanded 2X4 from a lumberyard. There was a 1 inch goughe through the finish where the unsanded part of the neck was between the 3rd and 4th fret. Fret ends were sharp. The nut slot was splintered on one side and the fretboard was detached there for about a half inch. The entire body of the guitar was covered in sawdust. There is also quite a bit of fret buzz. No way was this guitar inspected before being shipped. It was both trashed during manufacture and shipped out anyway. Sending it back.

WriteNice body/finish/neck. Problems lie in the uneven frets (causes rattle), nut was terrible, as well, with slots being to low on some strings. That being said, it's what you get when you buy from China. And there is no "Master Lutier" your review here. It must be at least 10 characters long. Consider whether you would recommend this product and what you like or dislike about it.
