Description
Each major revision of the Serial ATA interface specification has doubled the maximum data transfer rate. The latest SATA Revision 3.0 allows for data transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbps. While the cables for all three revisions appear to be similar and will physically fit into the connectors on all SATA drives and controllers, the higher data transfer rate of SATA 6 Gbps requires higher quality materials and closer tolerances than the previous two revisions required. Monoprice SATA 6 Gbps cables are certified to provide maximum speeds from your SATA system, up to 6 Gbps when used with equivalent devices and controllers. One end of this internal cable features a straight connector, while the other end uses a 90-degree connector, which can make for better cable management in some situations, especially in tight spaces. Each end has an attached locking latch, to ensure that your connections do not come loose due to movement or vibration. Note that SATA 6 Gbps cables are backwards compatible and can be used with SATA 3 Gbps and SATA 1.5 Gbps devices. However, the data transfer of the SATA subsystem will be limited to that of the slowest device. So, for example, if a SATA 6 Gbps cable is connected to a SATA 3 Gbps drive and a SATA 1.5 Gbps controller, the drive will be limited to a transfer rate of 1.5 Gbps.

I was looking for good cables so I did some research ...I read some forums and just about every one mentioned Monoprice cables ..so I purchased these cables ..they are top quality and price was right..now I need some Cat 6 cables and HDMI cables and will get them here

Exactly what I needed
I needed a right angle SATA cable coming from my motherboard to the hard drives but my motherboard SATA connector was already turn to it side rather then pointing up so I just reverse it and made the right angle on the hard drive instead and it actually work perfectly ha lol.

Great SATA cables for cramped desktops, especially small form factor models. And the retention clips actually work, unlike many I've seen before. Strongly recommended if your older SATA cables need replacement or if you're refurbishing and building a new computer.

Got an email if I could leave a review. I was just going to press the 5 stars and submit, but it actually made me type something out. So I was going to keep it short and just say "it works", because you know.. it's a cable.. and it works, what else is there to say about it? But it had to be longer then 10 characters, so that how I ended up writing all this just for a SATA cable. It's a cable, it works.

GREAT Product- Great buy!

Absolutely love 90 degree locking cable!
This cable is so much easier to use than most cheap oem cables that come with most hard drives. If you are as picky with cable management as I am, then you'll love having a superior quality cable that doesn't stick out the back of the drive, that ends up getting bent, and possibly pulling out of the drive. This cable locks securely to the drive, and with a 90 degree plug, the cable goes wherever you need it to!
