Ordered this cable since I don't have an HDMI port on my laptop and wanted to connect my laptop to a 32" TV as a work monitor. The Display Port to HDMI cable works great in connecting my laptop to my HDTV.

I suspect that, in the right application, this cord would function fine. Unfortunately, I was hoping to connect it from an HDMI output on a laptop to a DisplayPort input on a monitor. Because this is a passive, not an active, cord the result was no image. I wish this information was provided in a prominent way in the description (maybe even with a link to a better option!).
