A: This will not work. Both iPhone 12 and iPhone 14 has Lightning port, you will need to use a USB-A to Lightning cable for direct connection to the car's USB port.

I bought this cable to allow charging of my iPhone 15 from one of USB-A ports in my Lexus ES 350. The phone became very hot. While it was not damaged, that appeared likely if the phone had remained connected. And the very hot phone created a potential fire hazard. Perhaps the cable lacks a resistor that would prevent this from happening. In any event do not buy this cable to use for charing as I have described. It is potentially dangerous.

When on sale, these cables are great to have. Sturdy plugs on both ends with good strain relief. The bright color makes it easy to spot and pick out when there's a tangle of other cables nearby or when under furniture. Decent length reaches from an outlet to desk or table without trouble most of the time.

These cables seem very strong and tough. They are a bit stiff, which isn't a problem where I'm using them. The lengths listed are correct. I have only used the cables for charging at this time. They work great for that.

I like the flexibility. So far the ends are holding up. That is where the issues normally show up. The ends of many cables where they go inside the phone connection can get bent or twisted and will not work correctly for my screen in my truck.
