Description
Protect your electronic equipment from damaging voltage and current spikes with this Monoprice surge protector! This model includes twelve protected power outlets, 4 of which are positioned for AC power adapters, and a 2-port 2.1A USB charger. The clear plastic tabs on the sides of the unit illuminate green to indicate when the surge protector is providing protection to your equipment and when a proper ground is detected. When the protection circuitry has been fully consumed by power and current spikes, the protection light will no longer illuminate, indicating that the surge protector should be replaced. When the grounded tab is not illuminated it indicates that there is a problem with the house wiring and that the ground is not properly connected to the power outlet. The surge protector has 4 keyholes on the back, allowing it to be secured to a wall or other surface.

I have several of these units. They provide above-average protection at a below-average cost. As many others have said, the lightng is rather heroically bright, so a bedroom might not be a good location. Otherwise, functional and well-thought out. My only caveat is that the power light on one of them has started flickering and as I cannot tell why, it will have to be replaced.

I bought this after careful research of its capabilities, and because in its use case here a straight plug was essential. Yet I find I must review it also on its superb appearance. If Jonny Ives designed a surge protector it would be no sleeker. One star docked for excessive LED brightness. So not quite Heaven In outlet form, but within a stone’s throw.

I recently purchased this power/surge protector for my home studio. I like the spacing of the outlets, and additional USB chargers will come in handy. I like the LEDs along the sides that give me an instant read-out on the status of the unit.

I've been using mine for 4 years now (since 2016) and it's been rock solid. Provides plenty of power, outlets, and a couple USB ports. Just ordered another one for the girlfriend's desk. I've recommended this power strip to friends and several co-workers. The only complaint I could see someone having on this is the bright green lights laminating both sides. It used to be in my bedroom and I didn't mind having a built-in night light, but I've since moved and don't need my computer setup in my bedroom anymore

I purchased 2, 1 with USB outlets and 1 with USBs'. Told friends about them and they bought a couple. Used them all the time at home. I now have 4. One by the door for charging phones, earbuds,wireless headphones and external battery packs for phones. You can charge all your devices at the same time using their own transformers or the USB outlets. Also use at FOH Mix position during gigs for all audio equipment power. Very happy with them, highly recommend them....just ordered 2 more just in case. Ray in AZ

As much as I like the surge protector, it is surrounded all the way around by a bright green light. This was purchased to be used in the bedroom and now the room is lit up all night and I will have to return this. Very disappointed.
