Monoprice PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse to USB Converter Adapter, Black

Being a lover of the 1980's IBM Model M keyboards, technology has run off and left the PC/PS2 interface. This device adapts ancient technology with today's USB connections. I don't need or use the mouse interface, but this one is tested working. IBM's model M keyboard was such a stroke of excellence that many people didn't want to give them up, including myself. Unicomp is still making new ones.

It works. I had to manipulate the pins on the male PS2 connector so that it would plug in . After fiddling with that it has been working fine.

I have come to expect high quality with products from Monoprice. I found that to be the case once again. I was NOT disappointed.

This adapter works as advertized. It works flawlessly when connects to my old IBM keyboard and my logitech mouse and need no driver upgrade on my Lenovo laptop.

This works much better than the last PS/2 adapter I used (over 10 years ago). I'm not sure, but I believe this is an active adapter.

I am mainly a PC user but recently purchased a 2020 M1 MacBook Air. I've been using my trusty IBM Model M1 keyboard since 1994 and wanted to keep using it. This converter works fine when it and my Mac were plugged into my USB C dock connected to the Mac Thunderbolt 3 port. Upon plugging in my keyboard, I did need to go through a quick setup process after it autodetected the keyboard. The caps lock button works fine and lights up in the upper right corner, but the Num and Scroll lock buttons do not work. BTW, I did try a different adapter from eBay that was a 2" USB/PS2 plug in one (no wires), but that did not work. Overall, this converter rocks!

This is what you want. CONVERTER. Have an old keyboard that I really like, new CPU does not have the PS/2 socket. This converter lets me continue to use my favorite keyboard. Thanks.

Actually works (as opposed to some brands CLAIMING to provide a connection but not working).

This worked in extending an old styled keyboard to a usb port.

I ordered this to replace a 13 year old failed adapter. It performs as expected. Competitive price and terrific customer service!

It is indispensable and allows built-to-last input devices to be used on modern computers. It would be considered no-frills, but I see it as exceptionally reliable. Many other adapters encounter random restarts, or delayed reaction times (probably due to a power save mode). I love this, and hope it lasts as long as my quality older input hardware!

Did exactly what I hoped for when I finally had to plug my old keyboard into a KVM switch. It's actually more dependable now than when I was plugging the PS/2 into my computer.

Product is still in it's original packaging, but it arrived quickly and I fully expect it to work properly (after all, it's only a small cable...)

Awesome! Sturdy and well-built. Functions as expected with my classic IBM PS-2 style keyboard manufactured in 1996.

IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT IT MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO USE A NICE OLDER KEYBOARD AND MOUSE. ONE NICE IMPROVEMENT WOUD BE SOME TYPE OF LOCK ON THE GREEN AND PURPLE CONNECTIONS, THEY TEND TO PULL APART REALLY EASY. GLENN

I am using a legacy PS/2 KVM switch between two computers. The PCI card I had installed no longer switched to one of the computers. This Monoprice adapter does the job.

The converter/adapter works quite well utilizing PS/2 mice I had laying around. Plug and Play with no issues or conflicts. Recommended for those who prefer the mouse instead of the touchpad on a laptop.

Overall, it works great. Once in a while, it seems to cause a small repeating of the "m" key but it is infrequent and overall it works great with my old ergonomic keyboard.

I thought I was ordering to convert my old PS/2 keyboard to usb port but it is not working on windows 10.
