Monoprice Speaker Wire, CL2 Rated, 4-Conductor, 16AWG, 100ft, White

Product was shipped and arrived as expected. Product is quality CL2 rated wire. Perfect for use when running in or through walls. Very happy with product. My wire runs (lengths) are about 50 feet. Wire quality is high, so sound quality to the speakers is as clear as if they were five feet from the stereo on professional quality wires. Used with 60-Watt 8ohm speakers.

This isn?t the ?old? quality MonoPrice wire anymore. I ordered 100ft of 16awg 4-Conductor, same exact part# 4041 as wire I purchased several years back. Only to find it?s been changed to a much lower quality wire. The first concern I had was the new spool, followed by the thinner white shielding that fit much tighter to the wires inside. Realizing packaging and suppliers can change I decided to go ahead and use the new wire for my install as I?ve been very pleased with MonoPrice?s wire in the past. I greatly regret that decision. After running this wire for my rear speakers. I pulled out my Klein strippers and noticed the 16awg notch wasn?t properly stripping the jacket off. In fact I had to use the 18awg notch to properly remove the jacket, and it didn?t even scratch the copper underneath. I pulled out a spool of the old 16awg MonoPrice wire just to check. Sure enough on the old wire the 16awg notch cut clean and true. Looking closer at the two wires I could see the new wire is no longer a true 16awg, even though the wire is stamped as so. I?d post pictures of the differences, however MonoPrice?s review setup doesn?t provide that option. Sadly I?ll have to source my A/V products from another vendor moving forward. It might end up costing more from another vendor, but if I can get a quality product it?ll be worth it.

If you had comparable banana plugs and pins would make it better

Appears to be very good quality, like all the Monoprice products I've tried so far, but too stiff for use in point-to-point wiring or vehicular applications. Also the cable jacket is significantly oversized for 2 conductors, leaving a ton of spare room in the cable. The likely reason for this is that Monoprice created a single jacket for its 2-conductor & 4-conductor solutions, leaving a ton of spare room in the 2-conductor cable. In terms of stiffness, this Access Series wiring may be a little more pliable than the Monoprice Nimbus Series. Probably a decent solution for conduit or plenum applications where its stiffness would be a plus or applications where you really don't care that the jacket is taking up twice the space it should be?

Works as it should. I am pushing this to a pair of Focal outdoor speakers and this wire handles the current from a Yamaha amp for a fantastic sound. Each run is longer than 50? so it?s resistance is very nice. Inexpensive to boot. Would recommend.

I have used this wire through my system for in wall. good product, great price.

Used to wire the loudspeakers in a home theater setup where I may or may not cover the wire with plastic conduit, so wanted the wire to be inconspicuous against a white ceiling. It works well and is quite flexible, which is generally good, but means it has to be supported every foot or so to keep it from sagging. The wire itself seems to be of good quality, and tinned easily.

This is the quality wire I was looking for as I'm setting up my home theater. Very easy to work with and pulled through half-inch smurf pipe just fine.

CL2 rating means it can be run through walls for up to 100 watts, great stuff. Just as good if you don't have to run it through your walls

Very easy to work with. The spool falls apart very easily though.

What's the new Prime satellites I bought recommended 18 gauge this was solid very nice very clean it follows good once you line it out I was recommended highly thank you

The white "jacket" is too loose. It looks "twisty". When attached to a wall it looks messy. No I can't take a picture of it. Other than looks, speaker wire is wire , nothing to get excited about.
