We are using it as a surface for folding clothes. I mounted it as a shelf next to our washer and dryer machines.

The table top is very sturdy and was very well packed. It has a light wood grain finish. However, the pre-drilled holes did not line up with the stand: Workstream by Monoprice Dual Motor Height Adjustable 3-Stage Electric Sit-Stand Desk Frame, v2, White (Product Link: http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=43563 ), so I had to mark and drill the holes. I had the proper tools available, so this was not a difficult task - just something to be aware of for future buyers. So far I am very pleased with both the top and the motorized stand.

The desktop is a nice white wood like top so it matches my blue/gray room perfectly. The holes aligned perfectly with the base.
