Description
An XLR to RCA cable converts a balanced audio signal into an unbalanced signal. This is good for sending audio signals from an XLR source to an RCA input, or vice versa. Regardless of direction, the result will be an unbalanced signal.
This is a premium quality cable with gold plated connectors at each end. The cable is made with two 16AWG oxygen-free copper conductors, in a twisted-pair arrangement, and is shielded along the full length with copper braid with 97.5 percent coverage.
This cable uses the standard pinout with pins 1 and 3 of the XLR connector wired to the shield of the RCA plug and pin 2 of the XLR connector wired to the tip of the RCA plug.

nice sturdy cables that make a good connection. if you have an AVR that runs Audyssey you may get error messages I just ignore them.

Overall, good
Happy with the cables, but a few niggles: (1) On three of them, at the RCA end, the threaded-in collar/strain relief was not screwed all the way in to the RCA plug. Simple to resolve, but why? (2) On one of the above, the signal was not getting to the amplifier, only a hum...resolved by wiggling the cable at the RCA end, and as mentioned above, tightening the threaded connection. (3) All of the cables were a VERY tight fit at the RCA end, requiring a great deal of force to insert fully...better a little tight than loose, but still.

Appears to be well made and fits description. XLR to phono plugs render shielding useless, however it looks cool. Not a bad price. Wish they were shorter, but understand why a standard length is offered.

A professional cable from my Roland Recorder monitor outs to my Presonus Eris monitor ins. Gold plated tips, thick 16 gauge wire.
